Summary of the Thesis

Univalent function theory is a branch of geometric function theory which deals with the geometric properties of analytic functions. In my thesis, investigations have been done on:

1. Various coefficient estimate problems in geometric function theory such as

· Bounds on the second and the third Hankel determinants.

· Fekete Szegö coefficient functional bounds.

2. Sharp radii for analytic functions of the form to belong to several well-known classes of univalent functions.

3. Many inclusion relations and several coefficient estimates.

4. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the functions , an ≥ 0, defined on the open unit disk, to belong to various subclasses of starlike and convex functions.

5. Various coefficient conditions for functions with the negative coefficients.

CTET

· The Central Teacher Eligibility Test, known as CTET, is the entrance examination which sets the minimum qualification in India for a person to be eligible for teaching in schools

· The test is mandatory for getting teaching jobs in government schools from Class 1 to Class 8. Paper 1 is meant for teachers opting for Class 1 to Class 5 and Paper 2 for Class 6 to Class 8. A candidate has to score over 60% to pass the eligibility test

NET

· The National Eligibility Test (NET), also known as UGC/CSIR NET is a test to determine eligibility for college and university level lectureship for Indian nationals

· It aims to ensure minimum level standards for the entrants in teaching professions (college and university level) and Research.

GATE

· The GATE score is used for admissions to various post-graduate education programs (e.g. Master of Engineering, Master of Technology, Doctor of Philosophy) in Indian higher education institutes, with financial assistance provided by MHRD and other government agencies.

· Recently, GATE scores are also being used by several Indian public sector undertakings for recruiting graduate engineers in entry level positions
