Welcome!

I am a tenure-track professor of economics at the Dresden University of Technology (TUD), where I  hold the Chair of Quantitative Methods, esp. Econometrics. Before that, I was head of the junior research group “Outcomes of Education Across the Lifespan“ at the Leibniz Institute for Educational Trajectories (LIfBi) in Bamberg. I obtained my Ph.D. from the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU), which was supervised by Regina T. Riphahn.

I am a research affiliate at LIfBi, CESifo, IZA, and LASER, and a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Research Data Centre (FDZ) of the Statistical Offices of the Federal and State Governments. I am also an ordinary Council Member of the European Society for Population Economics (ESPE).

My research interests are in applied microeconomics, mainly education and labor economics, family and population economics, and public health. Find out more about my current research here
