Please can anyone help me with this as it is really frustrating me ! I am tring to run a simulation on a bracket load in Inventor 2012, I run through all the steps fine but when am I asked to apply force I try to click the CENTRE of the hole in the bracket but Inventor refuses to let me, I can only select the edges ! Can anyone help please (see attached pic)

Since i am now construct on a level luffing crane, i would like to know if i use the dynamic simulation, when I tried to apply a load force, only one unknown force could be calculated. I would like to know do Inventor provide a kind of force equilibrium or free body diagram by showing all the force associated.

It's slightly difficult to tell, but are you working with the stress analysis tools in Inventor? If so, you should be able to change the points for XYZ to give it a different location. You should also be able to select it based off of where you click initially. I normally select to add a force, then Inventor allows me to choose where I want the force to go, as well as the direction, the magnitude, and any axis I want the force to be parallel to. (For reference, I am using Inventor 2017.)

The remote force tool is intended to be used to position a force somewhere in the free space outside of your model.

This is done by using the remote point dialog box. When you select a face or feature, the force will be applied at the given dimensions away from this face or feature.

I think your answer " based on where you click initially" may be the clue.I will give that a try and see what happens.I do understand that by changing the xyz co-ordinates that this will reposition the force,it was the original location that was the problem.

You are right, I tested it on the model. I applied a remote force placed in the same place first to one face, then to the other. The calculation results are as expected under the action of this force on the selected faces.

I use the production parts to do the FEA. If I have to use the split face command to add the force, how do I keep this face from showing up on the idws of the part?

When I am doing FEA on an assembly/part, I want to use the production models. I don't want to have to create a copy of the production model just so that I can do FEA. It is too difficult to make sure the model is up-to-date after changes have been made.

EMS empowers the designer to compute electric, magnetic, mechanical, and thermal parameters - including, force, torque, magnetic flux density, magnetic field, electric field, electric flux, current flow, eddy current, inductance, capacitance, resistance, flux linkage, core loss, saturation, induced voltage, force density, power loss, temperature, temperature gradient, heat flux and more.

This is one of the best simulation software that I have came across. It is very useful especially for the simulation study of electromagnetic fields and forces. It can be used easily on the CAD model in the Inventor.

Hi friends.. I started to discover Inventor Pro 2017 Stress Analysis simulation, I have a tiny problem: why when changing force magnitude in stress simulation and re-simulate the part it doesn't change stress distribution? i.e. color distribution?, I noticed when viewing Safety Factor tab it does change and respond to the new load but Von Mise simulation doesn't change just the color scale changes it's values.

I thought it would also change color distribution i.e stress. you see when applied force doesn't exceed critical stress or yield point there should be no red color in the simulation, in the pictures the red color still show up no matter how force magnitude is. why?

Why when changing force magnitude the stress scale changes automatically? I mean stress limits must be relevant to the part geometry, material and design, not the force magnitude so when apply force that exceeds these limits a failure indication will show up like red color.

I have tried to run a Dynamic simulation where the "sliding components" should get two 3d contacts against the "fixed eye ring" as shown on picture. I would like to apply a Sine 69KN force with 35Hz going forward & backward as shown on the orange arrow on the picture. Afterwards, I would like to export FEA of the hook (black component) to see the stress analysis. I really appreciate if anyone can help me, thanks.

I can draw a curved beam, what looks like having a force, having the top side a length longer then the middle length and the lower side shorter, but that is way to much work.

Is there a way or plugin that can do that?

The police are a constituted body of persons empowered by a state, with the aim to enforce the law, to ensure the safety, health, and possessions of citizens, and to prevent crime and civil disorder.[1][2] Their lawful powers include arrest and the use of force legitimized by the state via the monopoly on violence. The term is most commonly associated with the police forces of a sovereign state that are authorized to exercise the police power of that state within a defined legal or territorial area of responsibility. Police forces are often defined as being separate from the military and other organizations involved in the defense of the state against foreign aggressors; however, gendarmerie are military units charged with civil policing.[3] Police forces are usually public sector services, funded through taxes.

Law enforcement is only part of policing activity.[4] Policing has included an array of activities in different situations, but the predominant ones are concerned with the preservation of order.[5] In some societies, in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, these developed within the context of maintaining the class system and the protection of private property.[6] Police forces have become ubiquitous in modern societies. Nevertheless, their role can be controversial, as they may be involved to varying degrees in corruption, brutality, and the enforcement of authoritarian rule.

A police force may also be referred to as a police department, police service, constabulary, gendarmerie, crime prevention, protective services, law enforcement agency, civil guard, or civic guard. Members may be referred to as police officers, troopers, sheriffs, constables, rangers, peace officers or civic/civil guards. Ireland differs from other English-speaking countries by using the Irish language terms Garda (singular) and Garda (plural), for both the national police force and its members. The word police is the most universal and similar terms can be seen in many non-English speaking countries.[7]

Law enforcement in ancient China was carried out by "prefects" for thousands of years since it developed in both the Chu and Jin kingdoms of the Spring and Autumn period. In Jin, dozens of prefects were spread across the state, each having limited authority and employment period. They were appointed by local magistrates, who reported to higher authorities such as governors, who in turn were appointed by the emperor, and they oversaw the civil administration of their "prefecture", or jurisdiction. Under each prefect were "subprefects" who helped collectively with law enforcement in the area. Some prefects were responsible for handling investigations, much like modern police detectives. Prefects could also be women.[13] Local citizens could report minor judicial offenses against them such as robberies at a local prefectural office. The concept of the "prefecture system" spread to other cultures such as Korea and Japan.

In Babylonia, law enforcement tasks were initially entrusted to individuals with military backgrounds or imperial magnates during the Old Babylonian period, but eventually, law enforcement was delegated to officers known as paqdus, who were present in both cities and rural settlements. A paqdu was responsible for investigating petty crimes and carrying out arrests.[14][15]

In ancient Egypt evidence of law enforcement exists as far back as the Old Kingdom period. There are records of an office known as "Judge Commandant of the Police" dating to the fourth dynasty.[16] During the fifth dynasty at the end of the Old Kingdom period, warriors armed with wooden sticks were tasked with guarding public places such as markets, temples, and parks, and apprehending criminals. They are known to have made use of trained monkeys, baboons, and dogs in guard duties and catching criminals. After the Old Kingdom collapsed, ushering in the First Intermediate Period, it is thought that the same model applied. During this period, Bedouins were hired to guard the borders and protect trade caravans. During the Middle Kingdom period, a professional police force was created with a specific focus on enforcing the law, as opposed to the previous informal arrangement of using warriors as police. The police force was further reformed during the New Kingdom period. Police officers served as interrogators, prosecutors, and court bailiffs, and were responsible for administering punishments handed down by judges. In addition, there were special units of police officers trained as priests who were responsible for guarding temples and tombs and preventing inappropriate behavior at festivals or improper observation of religious rites during services. Other police units were tasked with guarding caravans, guarding border crossings, protecting royal necropolises, guarding slaves at work or during transport, patrolling the Nile River, and guarding administrative buildings. By the Eighteenth Dynasty of the New Kingdom period, an elite desert-ranger police force called the Medjay was used to protect valuable areas, especially areas of pharaonic interest like capital cities, royal cemeteries, and the borders of Egypt. Though they are best known for their protection of the royal palaces and tombs in Thebes and the surrounding areas, the Medjay were used throughout Upper and Lower Egypt. Each regional unit had its own captain. The police forces of ancient Egypt did not guard rural communities, which often took care of their own judicial problems by appealing to village elders, but many of them had a constable to enforce state laws.[17][18] be457b7860
