Several scholarly products have been developed to contribute to the larger literature base in sport and physical activity, health equity and racial health disparities, and juvenile justice. Along with the items below, my dissertation will be submitted for fulfillment of the requirements of the certifcate.
In collaboration with a boxing coach and practitioner, we conducted a study on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on National Boxing Federations around the world. The findings were reported out in Chapter 16: Analyzing boxing's msot extended break between rounds: The disproportionate impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on national boxing federations and creative strategies in the book Time Out: Global Perspectives on Sport and the Covid-19 Lockdown.
Pulling from my experiences as a coach in a long-term, secure juvenile correctional facility I developed an article, "Utilizing a logic model for sport program development and evaluation in juvenile justice settings." This piece is being reviewed by my advisor, and upon the necessary revisions will be submitted for publication.
In UAPP667, I developed an applied research project with community members on educational access for youth sentenced to liberty-depriving measures in Romania. The research project resulted in the sholarly piece included below.
