I'm doctoral candidate in the Biden School of Public Policy and Administration at the University of Delaware. My research interests focus on sport and physical activity as a social determinants of health (SDoH) and health equity, racial health disparities, and the role of public policy and practice in achieving health equity. The knowledge generated from this work is reliant on and committed to community engaged scholarship. The majority of my research is applied in nature, with a strong commitment to grounding studies in a robust literature base as well as the expertise of practitioner communities, to support evidence-based decision-making in practice and to inform policy. Much of this work has been conducted through my assistantship with the Partnership for Healthy Communities, a university Community Engagement Initiative. I am very thankful to be the recipient of the 2020 Excellence in Graduate Scholarly Community Engagement from the University’s Faculty Senate and the 2020-2021 Dissertation Fellowship. Link to CV
