More than 10 Successful Projects!
More than 10 Successful Projects!
CLOUDEX, project by G17 UAC Sri Lanka, with G17 Global, I was invited to delivery a keynote speech to accelerate Entrepreneurship in this technological era!
Sharing my journey at REKSER Digital was to inspire Start-Ups with zero capital, but with a creative head. It's my very pleasure that I took part in it as been a 1st year undergraduate at my own university, possibly it would have been recorded as the first time for such thing in university history.
This project was a success, with the collaboration of many parties, specially thanking out NSBM Green University, The Entrepreneurship Circle at NSBM, G17 UAC Sri Lanka & Global and Miss. Sandamini Karunarathna at APIIT.
Uplifting lives at Oyamaduwa, Anuradhapura
This project was held successfully with the collaboration of The Wildlife Association of Sri Lanka, and our main aim was to contribute towards uplifting lives of the future generations, as we encourage not just to plant a tree, but a plant filled with oxygen. We successfully distribute 50 Economic Crops - Jackfruit plants to the locals at Oyamaduwa, Anuradhapura.
Planting these now, will make a better future for there children! Project was done in the month of August 2024 with the equal contribution and dedication of powerful team!
Tik-Tok for S&S Business!
Turning my expectations upside down, Saint & Sinners (S&S) was my first client at REKSER Digital Marketing. We had an initial telecom, from that I understood that the client is blank on Marketing.
Been very fair with the client, I was suggesting him the best options, and even the client gave me the freedom of creativity. S&S is a Sri Lanka business who import Men's beach wear shirts from India and having plans to capture the domestic market over here.
Overall, the campaign was very successful, with the influencer collaboration Miss Navodya Dissanayeka, with having a active followers base of more the 250,000 on TikTok. S&S campaign statistics were as follows ( Views = 100,000+ / Followers = 0 to 750 / Likes = 3000+ / Comments = 50+) within 5 days.
Considering this as my very first campaign in marketing industry as a fresher, was at a satisfiable level for myself and as well for my client S&S.
Strategic Planning & Digital Presence & Pitching
Mr. Ranil Harshana (International High Performance S&C Coach), was pitching AHT World's Premier Tennis & Wellness City project along with his team.
Where Mr. Ranil contacted me via REKSER to have a better digital presence on their project initially. We had nearly five hours session with Mr. Ranil. During this session, we made the chat interesting and I consulted Mr. Ranil on how this Digital Presence created, should be pitched with some strategic and we made some solid planning on it.
Khalaf Al Habtoor the founder of Hilton Group of companies UAE was our target of this project to be pitched. Overall, this was a next level project where I was involved for an back end support as an third party business and marketing consultant.
Giveaway organized by REKSER Marketing
During my start up process, I was always focus on the strategy, "Make a Profit with Zero Capital", later on with profits, you can reinvest and grow your business, but still as a small business, you'll struggle for your finance.
Small Businesses as One, where this concept was developed by me and this event was organized by my venture REKSER Digital Marketing. Simply this is a Giveaway campaign held on Instagram platform, with the collaboration of 6 partners. By collecting 1500LKR from each, we made a budget of 9000LKR back in 2021, which was pretty enough to make an impact.
Giveaway T&C were developed in a way that each and every business gets equal benefits in term on reach and growth. This project was a massive success with having a reach of over 50,000 Instagram base, increasing natural follower count and even brought real time businesses too for those small businesses involved.
Main target was to drive the people specifically to each business profile, where from the advertisements in those profile, will able to do a sale. Where it's sort of Psychological marketing on Digital space been implemented.
How to expand you Market and Profit margins!
I&S Holdings runs a Water & Gully Bowser service in Homagama, with over more than 40 bowsers! They operate in Homagama and into Colombo, whereas there is a greater potential on some Suburbs of Colombo like Padukka, Meegoda, Meepe and many areas.
What have limits them from expanding their business into those areas is simply the marketing knowledge on how to reach for a greater audience in areas which has naturally a lower reach but more audience.
As a solution, with only choosing Facebook as a medium, I customized the Meta Ads process including both paid and unpaid promotions to get some organic reach. Then to develop it further, I successfully engaged with the general community on Facebook in those areas, and then plant the right ads to fit in there need at the right time.
With that note, I successfully expanded their business into those areas, and brought sales for the business, increasing their Market Share & Profit Margins!
Customer Retention for Easy Deals Lk
Loyalty Cards are common, but for an online store? Well, having the main goal of Customer Retention and ensuring Repeat Purchases, we at REKSER Digital Marketing came up with this solution, on how it could be adopted to our client Easy Deals that base there complete operations on this e-space.
Rather than issuing a physical card, we decided to move on with a E - Loyalty card, in which the system is been manually maintained as our client was on budget and not financially strong enough to adopt such systems further.
And purely based on our clients requirements we did the neccessary work for him!
Sustainable Agriculture in modern Era!
This project helped me in showcasing and meantime improving my leadership qualities as being the Project Leader of this healthy project, where we cultivated Two & Half acres of paddy field which was idle for more than half a month which as a really tough task and at the same time contributing for more than 9 SDG goals (1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 11, 13, 15, 17) & even winning awards!
Possibly this was the toughest challenge I had face in my life! With managing the human capital of more than sixty colleagues while giving employment too for more than ten villagers and feeding hundreds of hungry mouths in Pitipana, Homagama village while working on a strict project timeline of exactly 5 months.
We did this project during COVID 19 pandemic and Economic downturn, where things were impossible and we as a team struggled a lot even to find fertilizers and even in the latter part, it was tough time with rain during the harvesting period. Those days we were well known in the university due to this project and each and every team member was greatly appreciated!
From this project, I learned how to move forward with stress rather stepping back, where during the downs of our project, during time where even my colleagues were questioning from me regarding the decision we made on selecting this project rather we could have washed our hands doing some pretty easy project.
However, we were able to complete this project with more than 90% success rate, with equal collaboration of our team, module leader, Bridg: Sanath Wickramasinghe and the villagers along with the back end support of the university.
As the Project Leader of this gamechanger, from the initial idea to making it a reality, was all with the support of our team mates. Where this was done as one of our project in final year.
Gamification is a simple technic that corporate sector could use in encouraging employees to improve their productivity in a way that it moves effectively and efficiently.
In this Gamification project, we took the roots of monopoly game, and then mixed it with Sri Lankan political propagandas, that we are able to here and see in our day to day life.
For the players, we creatively created mini statues of Sri Lankan politicians where twenty five players can play at first and then we completely designed a new game board, with mixing our ideas and AI to make it much creative.
Our game board had the design of the Sri Lankan map, where we divided it into the 25 districts, rolling the dice and the outcome of results were considered as votes (1=10,000 votes scale) the player that gets the lowest votes from the each district will be eliminated.
And on final around we eliminate it up to final four from twenty five players and the player who gets the highest votes count from the final four districts will become the President!
We simply can implement this project in evaluating team performance of the employees in an organization, by developing it further and as well it encourages a creative environment too.
Chronical Kidney Disease
Chronical Kidney Disease is a very common health condition faced by Sri Lankans, mainly in very rural areas as the water is not healthy enough. This proportion is very high in North Central Province, and that also in Anuradhapura where more than 80% cases been reported.
That's why we decided to do this project this time in a village called Oyamaduwa, Anuradhapura and planted our water filtering station in the school called Wannihelebawa National School. The people over there are really struggling a lot in life, and even they fight to protect their own lives with issues like the number of elephant attacks keep on increasing!
Anuradhapura, been a province that fed the entire country with rice back then, has now to be fed from other parts of the country. these major life threatening events even have gradually effected there cultivation process.
I got the opportunity to involve in the project as a member, and witness the roughness of people from eyes. This project operates on a system that it absorbs water from very deep in earths surface, and then that water goes through a very comprehensive filtering process with necessary standards, making the water drinkable and the waste water from that process is directed to cultivating lands through pipelines.
NFORCE Club at NSBM
Been a student at NSBM Green University, back in 2022, I was appointed as the NFORCE Coordinator, where my responsibility lied in between connecting the Faculties in NSBM with the NFORCE Club, which is the largest club in the university.
I was the first appointee for this position back then with the right guidance of Mr. Rushdi Hadhi the manager at career guidance. I would say this project was the project that I networked the most with among universities and corporate.
Carrier Fair required a lot of brain for the organizing part of the event, where me been as a single person fulfilled nearly 50% of the students support with the network I had build for the success of this project.
NSBM Career Fair 2022, which held during days 17th & 18th of December 2022, was a massive success, that successfully connected thousands of educated undergraduates with over 200+ corporate sector involvement for them to take their first step!
Ride your Diecast!
Normally we hear the quote, Ride your vehicle. But when it comes to Ride your Diecast? Is it possible?
Yes, this homemade cinematography was created without any support. Just with the use of a Samsung J series mobile device. This project was a challenge that I took for myself, working on a strict budget with less resources and time management, within just a matter of hours.
Personally, with this concept, I made good profits, as I cut largely on costs without compromising on quality. This cinematography simply highlights the detailing features of the diecast model and how it actually can ride. Short and Sweet, but a lot effort!
The Regent Grand Hotel
This was my final year, final project for the module Professional Business Project. Again as the Project Leader, considering this as a real life project and working more on it, we met Mr. Kelum Dissanayeka, a cofounder at The Regent Grand Hotel, after the chat we had with him with regards to their business issues at The Regent Grand Hotel, we were abled to identify few.
They really faces some errors like double booking, cancellations at costs due to this manual reservation system. We gave them the solution of moving towards a Digital Reservation system, which completely resolves all the issues with their current system.
With involving UX in our designing process, we even created a Demo Digital Reservation system which have all the facilities, from booking to sending the receipt to customers mail for our client to have an idea on how it works.
Moreover, this project even sharpened my skill of time management, as we had to complete this project within a time span of four months with a hectic schedule of conducting 4 presentations with our module lecturer to track our performance and to make sure that no errors occur.
