Open your home and your heart to a student from Basque Country, Spain!

Kaixo USA is looking for families willing to host teenage students in an English-speaking home for one month in July to help improve their conversational language.

You will have the opportunity to live the adventure with your student, see the world through their eyes, and help them connect with people from another culture!

Also we're hosting several informational Zoom meetings! These sessions are a great opportunity to learn more about what our program includes, meet us, and ask any questions you may have. Attending a Zoom meeting does not at all commit you to hosting in any way!

While your students learns about American culture, you will learn a lot about the Basque County. You will learn about the differences and what makes each place unique.

Practice Hospitality

We know that it in many ways presents a sacrifice to open your home for a month. This is an opportunity to serve by giving of your time and space to invest in a young person.

Build Relationships

From this experience you will not just gain a student, you will in many ways gain a son, daughter, or friend. It is incredibly special to connect with someone from thousands of miles away!

 WHAT IS A HOST FAMILY? 

Students are simply desiring an authentic American experience, in the Midwest! However, most importantly the opportunity for complete English immersion. You will be helping them practice conversational English in every day situations. They can build confidence and fluency in a supportive - and fun - environment.

Staying with a host family provides a true cultural experience. The students will simply join you in your daily routine- whatever that may look like. Whether it is going to Walmart, the lakes, or a little league baseball game - it will be a new and exciting experience for them!

 WHO CAN BE A HOST FAMILY? 

There is no "ideal" host family, we are just looking for those with a willingness to open their homes.

No matter what stage of life your family is in - whether you have kids or not, whether you are old or young - YOU can provide a unique and incredible experience for our students.
