San Antonio Humane Society P.A.W.S. Program
The San Antonio Humane Society P.A.W.S. Program was an 8 month program that I participated in my junior year. Once a month, the members and I attend meetings to learn more about animal welfare and how we can support our community through service. On my own time, I volunteer to help dogs in the shelter get exercise by walking them and taking them to play yards. Biscuits for Buddies
Biscuits for Buddies is a non profit organization that I created in October 2023 and am still running today. With this organization, I sell dog treats to treats to raise money. All of the money earned goes towards sponsoring dogs' adoption fees at the San Antonio Humane Society. I focus on animals who have been in the shelter the longest in hopes of illustrating them to be more adoptable. To learn more about my involvement in the program, please contact Ms. Oliviero at holiviero@sahumane.org.
With donations for Biscuits for Buddies, I was able to sponsor the adoption fee of Eldorado who had been in the shelter for 75 days.
With donations for Biscuits for Buddies, I was able to sponsor the adoption fee of Prairie Dawn who had been in the shelter twice, and most recently for 77 days.
