I have always had a wide range of interests from a young age. My parents ensured I stayed involved with my community by enrolling me in after-school gymnastics, dance lessons, orchestra classes, and a soccer team. Pursuing my interests and remaining determined is something that has grown up with me. Throughout high school, I have done a year of dance, four years of soccer, and various other clubs to solidify more direction for myself. In my junior year of high school, I took it upon myself to be mentored by an emergency veterinarian and participated in the San Antonio Humane Society's P.A.W.S. program. Throughout this journey, I received the opportunity to explore veterinary medicine. These unique adventures have encouraged me to continue getting experience through mentorships. Exploring my interests has led me to realize that I aim to pursue an undergraduate biology degree and later earn a doctorate in veterinary medicine.
