As of August 2024, I am a Visiting Professor of Mathematics at Harvey Mudd College teaching both undergraduate math and writing courses, and serving as the Faculty Advisor for the Clinic Program, a year-long capstone project and course unique to Harvey Mudd.
Most of my teaching experience originates from my time as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. Since I started in Fall 2018, I have taught many undergraduate math courses as an instructor of record and as a recitation TA. I have also served as the Associate Convener of a course, a position that entails organizing weekly instructor meetings and providing guidance to the graduate student instructors of the course in content delivery, exam writing, grading, and creating and taking opportunities to make our classes more inclusive. More recently, I have served as the Math Specialist for TRIO Student Support Services, the instructor of record for math courses offered to students in the TRIO Student Support Services program at UNL.
Additionally, I've served as a GTA for a few summer programs. You can click here to view the details of my teaching experience.
My top three teaching values:
student-centered teaching
building and maintaining inclusive learning community
emphasis on humanity

In the Spring and Summer of 2021, I took a lead role in a focus group study and inclusive course development project focusing on students of color and first-generation students in UNL's Math 203 and Math 100A courses. The goal of the project was to better understand experiences for students of color and first-generation students in Math 203 and Math 100A through focus group interviews, respond by making changes to curriculum and instruction, and extend this project to other First-Year Math Courses at UNL. One product of this project was "Ten Recommendations for Inclusive Instruction (Based on Feedback from UNL Math Students)". This includes ten recommendations, supporting quotes from focus group participants, and suggestions for implementation. You can click here to view it.
