Campaign

I have a three-part campaign (just like Gaul!) based on one of my favorite Latin mottoes: "Respice, Adspice, Prospice", meaning "look to the past, present, and future".

Respice

Rationale: I believe that recent NJCL Parlis have created excellent summaries of the NJCL Constitution. I, further, think that one way to both improve my amending abilities of the NJCL constitution and state parlis for their constitutions is to take this idea one step further by incorporating deeper analyses of specific topics.

My Plan: I will create monthly guides for parliamentarians from a parliamentarian about how specific articles of JCL constitutions are represented nationwide or have changed over time. Will go very in-depth and be primarily text-based.

Adspice

Rationale: I believe that my other two goals are somewhat moot without participation and involvement from parlis on the local and state levels.

My Plan: I will compile a local parli mailing list (along with the state parli GroupMe) to send announcements, ask for polls/feedback, and communicate with other parlis about their state constitutions and how they are unique.

Prospice

Rationale: I believe that a major reason many don't run for National office is not due to a lack of competence, but a lack of knowledge of the opportunity and deadlines sneaking up. I know there are many very qualified people with very unique perspectives from all over the country, and I want the best leadership for the JCL.

My Plan: Leading up to Nationals, I will create a helpful list of (suggested) deadlines so people can begin thinking about running for NJCL office early. I will also release fun promotional materials directly to State Chairs and State Parlis to pass on to their JCLers.
