Born In Seremban, Malaysia in 2003, Malaysia-based emerging artist.
My practice focuses on transforming the written words into visual form. I am interested in the relationship between words and emotions, especially texts in books that explore emotional expression. These texts resonate with me because they try to depict irrational emotions through rational language. It is the tension and contradiction in the texts that fascinate me and become central to my work.
I enjoy distilling those feelings from the books I read and expressing them through images and materials. To me, art is not just something to be seen, it is also a way to hear yourself. I hope that when viewers encounter my work, they enter a quiet conversation with themselves.
My practice often revolves around psychological states and emotional presence, but not in a negative way. Rather, I want my work to offer a space where people can pause, reflect, and maybe hear their inner voice a little more clearly.
I am drawn to transparent and semi-transparent materials. They feel clean and quiet, yet able to hold complex and often overlooked emotions. I continue to experiment and create dialogue with these materials, uncovering deeper layers of emotional experience.
My recent work delivers a more direct and honest expression of myself. I consider that each of us has gone through so much to become who we are now. These experiences do not need to be loudly declared, but I hope that they can be gently seen, heard, and understood through my work.
