✊🏽 Join us on Saturday, September 28th 4-8pm, for the Life After Occupation Liberation Art Show for Mākua Valley!
The Life After Liberation Art Show for Mākua is an inspiring event that celebrates grassroots organizing, radical optimism, and the spirit of Lāhui o Hawaiʻi in support of Mālama Mākua Valley.
This art show is dedicated to amplifying the voices and stories of Kānaka Maoli, Indigenous, and Waiʻanae Coast-based artists, showcasing their powerful artworks that reflect themes of liberation, resilience, and community empowerment. Through a vibrant collection of paintings, sculptures, photographs, and mixed media, the exhibition aims to foster a deep sense of connection and understanding among all attendees.
The event is more than just an art display; it’s a call to action for the preservation and protection of sacred Hawaiian lands and cultural heritage.
Join us for a day of creativity, solidarity, and celebration of our collective journey towards a liberated future for Mākua and all of Hawaiʻi.

I am so incredibly humbled and honored to share the collaboration that I did with @illuminative on Instagram and X for National Poetry Month and National Earth Day.
It is a reminder to all our Indigenous peoples, a what our heart means to the earth. It is a call to our non-Indigenous friends that we need their help more than ever to protect our earth, our home, our family. I hope you enjoy!
Recently as I have been getting more politically inclined and involved, I've started creating works on things I really care about. This includes poems and art pieces that reflect my feelings and the situation going on in Palekekine (Palestine).
I will include a slideshow here showing the covers and poems of those works, but I will be going more in-depth on my Kū Kiaʻi Palekekine page, so feel free to go check in out there.
Mahalo!
During Merrie Monarch 2022, I decided to create a short poetry Series detailing my love and appreciation for the week long Hilo Town event.
As a Moku o Keawe wahine, Merrie Monarch is my favorite time of year for a number of reasons, but most of all for how alive Hilo becomes when hula, mele, oli, and ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi comes back to Hilo. It is a spiritual thing, and one I am honored to experience over and over again being from this moku.
The series can be found on both Instagram and TikTok <3

Though currently on hiatus, I am extremely proud and excited to share with listeners my podcast, Changing The Narrative. I wanted to start a podcast because as much as I saw the importance of the written word, I also acknowledged the importance of speaking up and using my voice as well.
So though there hasn't been new episodes in a while, please go check out my old episodes on Spotify and Apple Podcasts!

Instagram is where is all started for me, and this is the platform that showcases most of my original poems. This was my very first project I put out to the world as Kahula, and what started my journey to becoming the person I am today. I am immensely proud of every small milestone I've been able to reach up to this point and a lot of it is thanks to all her followers and listeners.
