At this time, I am focusing on four different family fundraisers, all of these families in Gaza and needing help to either evacuate and/or survive the current conditions of life. Please help anyway you can. Click on the picture or the button below to see the four families.
On October 7th, 2023, the Palestinian resistance group Hamas (Harakat al-Muqawamah al-Islamiyyah, meaning the Islamic Resistance Movement in English), crossed the border and killed at least 1,200 people, many of whom were soldiers, and took at least 250 hostages. This followed the storming of the Al-Asqa Mosque on October 4th 2023.
Ever since then, Israel has killed at least 24,000 Palestinians in Gaza, displacing about a million through their carpet bombing campaign, which has destroyed the architectural, political, economical, and social infrastructure in Gaza.
Settler violence and military forces in the occupied West Bank has also increased, with many Palestinians in the West Bank being killed or kidnapped by both settlers and the IDF (Israeli Defense Forces).
This page is just my way of getting information out there and hoping to inform people. If you want my views, look below. Also if you are looking for learning material, look further down on this page or visit the On the Ground Subpage for more information. Mahalo!

Hawaiʻi's Connection to Palestine - Digital Zine
If you haven't guessed already, I am an advent supported of Kū Kiaʻi Palekekine (Palestine). As an Indigenous woman myself, whose home has and currently is going through colonialism, occupation and the erasure of our history in minuscule and big ways, there is no way I could not support Palestinians in their fight of liberation. Some of my views may be controversial, and I am sure that we might disagree on somethings. However, if you disagree with me that a genocide is going on and that a ceasefire should happen, then we are not on the same side of this conflict.
However, I don't want my views to dominate the conversation. This isn't about me. So in light of that, I have created a couple of different resources to learn about Palekekine, especially about the history of it. And this is where you can find it. There is also a On the Ground subpage under the Kū Kiaʻi Palekekine Page showcasing resources that are not made by me, so you can absolutely visit that for more information. Education is key here, and I plead with those on the fence and those who have chosen one side, but feel that some information is missing, to educate themselves further and look into all of the different sides of this conflict.
