Geraldine and her whānau were welcomed to the Trust with a small whakatau at Kerikeri on the 18th of September 2020. Geraldine’s appointment as General Manager is a first for the Trust Board and Chair, Teresa Tepania-Ashton, is thrilled to have someone of Geraldine’s caliber and skills lead our Iwi in to a new and exciting period.

Deed of Settlement December 2015
The Deed of Settlement between Ngātikahu ki Whangaroa and the Crown was signed at Otangaroa Marae in December 2015. It took until December 2017 for the legislation for our settlement to pass into law. The Minister Finlayson and his group arrived to a wero and warm welcome, but there were also protests.
