Because I want to give credit where credit is bloody due:
She's a millennia old vampire, so there are dark patches in her entire history. You've been warned.
I did use the TVD/TO Wikia's timeline for a lot of her Early History and Rest of Her Millennia of History (Spoiler Warning) with edits and changes that happen with the fact another Original vampire exists, who's a Heretic no less. I wanted her millennia of history written down somewhere, but it's still heavily tied to her siblings, so that felt the best route. If it's similar or exact wording in some areas, do not be surprised. I do not take credit for anything in said areas outside how El shifts the universe.
Additionally, I also used the TVD/TO Wikia's various species pages, and took the time to get all the details I could from the get go, along with some Reddit conversations of logistics in order to solve what an Original Heretic would be like. Since she's not just an Original vampire and Siphoner witch, nor a Non-Original Heretic, I had to solve some situations that would come up. So expect the Powers and Abilities and Weaknesses sections to house familiar text or exact wording as well.
No, she's not a Tribrid unlike all the fanfictions that toy with the premise of an Original Heretic.

— Eldrid to Any Enemy at Any Time
Eldrid was born in 983 AD to Esther and Mikael as her parentage and none the wiser to her mother's affair with Ayana's brother—who was her biological father connecting her to the later-known-as Bennett bloodline. Growing up with her already born siblings outside of Freya, who was believed to be dead, she formed good bonds with: Finn, Elijah, and Niklaus. Once her younger siblings: Kol, Rebekah, and Henrik were born, she formed much closer bonds with them; she was the ideal older sister, but she ended up causing trouble with Kol more often than not. Much like her brother, she easily got bored and struggled to entertain herself, so the two would often go on adventures together, and with only a year difference, they were thought to act the same age. When she was thirteen, she accidentally siphoned one of her mother's magical objects which urged her mother to go to Ayana about it. While Ayana didn't fully know, she did find out Eldrid was a siphon from the ancestors—which meant she wasn't able to generate her own magic and therefore wasn't a real witch. Despite what Ayana had said, Eldrid joined Kol in some magic lessons and enjoyed them every chance she got—after siphoning again.
Becoming The World's First Vampires
After Henrik was killed, the once happy days of being human ended when their mother turned to dark magic to make them immortal and stronger than werewolves. Esther did this to not only protect the rest of her family from losing anyone else to werewolves that lived nearby, but she also covertly wanted to ensure they couldn't bring forth another generation of witches—so Dahlia couldn't claim any firstborns from them. Right after Samhain in 1001 and drinking the wine laced with blood before being stabbed by her own stepfather(believed to be father despite her mixed skin tone), she woke up in the same state as her siblings—not fully understanding what she was now and unsure she even had her 'magic' anymore. As time went on in their newfound vampirism, most of the siblings including herself made their first human kills which revealed the all-consuming hunger they faced for blood—this had been an unforeseen side-effect of the vampirism and was something the Mikaelson children had yet to control.
One Out of Two Affairs Revealed
Once Klaus made his first kill, which revealed his newly-activated hybrid nature(and making the revelation of Esther's affair with someone else), he ended up killing six villagers in the woods. After what Elijah had done when he went to console Niklaus and their mother altering Elijah's memories of his actions, their mother shouldered the blame when the siblings mistakenly believed Esther had killed Tatia in order to use her blood to bind the Hybrid Curse which was an incorrect assumption that Esther encouraged to hide the truth. Seeing as their father was furious at Esther's affair with a werewolf—unaware of the one that she'd had with Ayana's half-brother—and the Spirits were intent to restore the balance of nature that was disturbed when Niklaus was nearly invulnerable from his hybrid nature, Esther cast a curse on him using the remaining doppelgänger blood that was in Tatia's deceased body as the binding agent; this bound his werewolf heritage and essentially made the majority of his werewolf powers dormant. Around this time is when Eldrid found she could, not only siphon objects, but her own newfound vampirism and appear as a normal witch. After seeing what was done to Klaus and how bothered Kol was at his lost magic, she kept silent about her own hybrid nature but was very confused. Not aware she didn't need the daylight ring her mother forged for them that worked, she wore it from the day she was handed it until she managed to lose it centuries later.
Once Mikael felt the intense rage and killed half of their village—which included Ansel(Nik's biological father) and the majority of his pack, the war ignited between the werewolves and the original vampires that still rages in present day(since enough members of Ansel's family survived from his bloodline to have descendants in the 21st century). Niklaus, who felt betrayed by his mother for her lies, strangled Esther to death and blamed Mikael for the action; this resulted in all six vampire siblings turning their backs on their father in anger—which was very strong with the newly-enhanced emotions. After Niklaus, Elijah, and Rebekah made the pact of 'Always and Forever' and fled the family home, they left the village and returned to the Old World where Kol, Finn, and Eldrid were waiting for them.
Countless over her millennia alive including Old Norse from her human days. Like Dahlia, Esther, and Freya: she uses Old Norse runes in most of her spells unless she developed it from another language over her countless decades. Seeing as she has learned various cultures of witch magic, she also can vary which language one spell is based in easily. Some of her other known languages include: Aramaic, Bulgarian, Japanese, French, Italian, Latin, American Sign Language, etc. It's worth noting depending on the last time she used specific languages she might have to update some phrases and add new words to her vocabulary.

When she arrived to Mystic Falls in 2008, she compels her way into Mystic Falls High School as a sophomore out of mere curiosity to what teenage life was like for the typical human experience; it also seemed logical that way she could blend in longer as a 'human' without any questions, plus she could watch over her paternal descendant closer. She embraced the inner child that she hid to make it more believable and, despite attending college in the last century, looked forward to comparing the two experiences. At her arrival, she compelled her way into the local Hale family's house to make it more believable to anyone who had to 'visit' her. This consisted of: Lionel Hale, Peter Hale, Theresa Hale, and Serena Hale—all of whom she had to compel to have memories of her and treat her like family.

In the late winter/early spring of 1002 AD, all six siblings made it back to Europe following the prior events and ended up in southern France after spending the last half-year(Autumn and Winter of 1001 AD) running from Mikael. Elijah insisted that they do what they can to not draw attention to themselves out of the fear their father would find them; he enacted several rules by which all six of them would abide to ensure their success—which included discreet feeding, covering their tracks, and killing anyone who learned the truth about what they were so they could not spread word of the existence of vampires. All six siblings had numerous arguments about their new lifestyle and what they should do next. Kol and Eldrid agreed on the idea Kol suggested about them splitting up, since Mikael can't go after all of them at once. While Finn wasn't keen on separating, he and Rebekah yearned for ordinary lives that they couldn't live on the run; Elijah and Klaus eventually ruled they stay together and reminded them of the vow to be a family—always and forever.
After the siblings fed on and killed four noblemen and two noblewomen who appeared to be heading toward the castle not far from where they were, Rebekah offered the idea to take their clothes and carriage then proceed to the castle in their victims' place. All six were divided on this matter due to the fact they were in a strange new country whose customs and culture they did not know; during the sparked debated, Elijah found the servant of the deceased victims named Lucien Castle who was terrified after witnessing them slaughtering the guests he was meant to deliver that he begged them to allow him to help them blend into the French court by teaching them their customs in exchange for sparing his life. While Elijah did remind them they had a rule to kill anyone who found out they were vampires, he was eventually overruled and the Mikaelsons decided to do as Lucien requested which allowed him to live so he could tell them everything they needed to know to pass for the children of the French Court de Guise at the castle.
Once they arrived at the castle wearing the clothes of their former victims, Lucien instructed them on how to introduce themselves to Count de Martel and how to appear to be wealthy nobles rather than the scared immigrants they actually were. Lucien then introduced them to the Count; though they were nearly exposed as frauds when the Count de Martel claimed the Count de Guise hadn't ever mentioned six children or any, Elijah, Klaus, and Rebekah managed to talk their way out of it and were invited to stay in their home. While at the celebration, Lucien and Klaus talked privately where he told him that the court was worse than the siblings—who were vampires. Once Tristan and Aurora de Martel showed up to the party, Lucien warned the smitten-with-Aurora Klaus that it's best to stay away from them and admitted he felt Tristan was wicked—also alluding to the fact he fancied Aurora as well.
Some time later after the Mikaelson siblings had assimilated into their new lives at the Court of Marseilles, there was a celebration in the courtyard where Lucien and Klaus had a private exchange referencing Aurora's affections and Klaus was asked a favor. Even after Klaus lied to him about Aurora rejecting the letter, Lucien was still determined to be romantic and went to her room to speak with her but found Klaus and her together there—which left great devastation. Tristan's guards, who'd seen Lucien enter Aurora's chambers, approached the room; while Klaus was able to get away with Aurora's urging, Lucien was caught from not moving fast enough and Tristan furiously ordered his guards to escort him to the cellar where he got brutally beaten. Niklaus, Elijah, and Eldrid confronted Tristan and attempted to stop him from the continual abuse that drew blood, but Tristan exposed that he knew what they were—as he had spoken to a woman who had escaped with her life after Kol and Eldrid had attacked and fed on her village. Klaus was about to torture Tristan along with Eldrid, but when he revealed that he had arranged for his fastest riders to spread the news of the Mikaelsons being frauds and demons, Elijah forced his two siblings to stand down. Moments after that, Tristan insisted that they were all the same and were simply trying to protect their families before he sliced Lucien's mouth open(ear to ear).
Once Tristan de Martel left, Klaus tried to feed Lucien water to help soothe his wounds, but it only hurt him more, and none of them knew they could sire or heal others with their blood at the time. When Klaus hugged him and apologized for what happened, Lucien angrily stabbed him in the stomach with Tristan's knife not aware it would do no harm. Upon contact with Klaus' blood, Lucien's wounds began to heal which surprised both men and the woman—seeing as the Original vampires were not aware of this aspect of their powers. Lucien, falsely, believing that he had become the same creature as them went to attack Tristan; he ended up killed before he could even harm him. Believing him to be truly dead, the three Mikaelsons prepared a traditional Viking funeral for Lucien and sadly discussed how confusing it was that their blood could heal the living but not the dead. Just before any of the three could set fire to the funeral pyre, Lucien awoke in transition—once again shocking the trio. Shortly afterword, Lucien fed on the blood of one of the members of the court which completed his transition; he became the first vampire to ever be sired by one of the Originals and Niklaus. He then begged, specifically Klaus, to teach him to be what they are, but Klaus would insist that they brought out the worst in one another. Following these events, Lucien continued to feed alongside the rest of the Mikaelsons during their remaining stay at the Court de Martel. While Kol and Eldrid fancy many random girls(separately but Eldrid prefers girls), Klaus and Aurora proceed to pursue their relationship in secret where she asked him to turn her on various occasions into a vampire like him so no one could keep them apart; he refused not wanting to cement her fate to that choice.
When it was Aurora's birthday and Klaus found her crying in her room so he coaxed her to talk to him, Aurora admitted that her birthday wasn't a time of celebration because she killed her mother in childbirth; as a result, she was broken and cursed. Klaus who felt bad for her, tried to make her feel better by confessing that he had killed his mother and blamed it on his father after she turned him and his siblings into vampires—he assured her that she was not as cursed as he was. Aurora believed this was proof that they were the same and begged him to turn her; however, he refused again. After he left, she became desperate and slit her own writs in her bed in an attempt to take her own life. Rebekah found her and fed her own vampire blood to her in hopes she'd heal in time. After Rebekah echoed Klaus' earlier sentiments regarding not wanting her stuck cursed like them, Aurora solemnly asked her to leave so she could rest; but she really watched for her to leave before she jumped out of her window and killed herself—becoming Rebekah's first vampire progeny. Once Aurora finished her own transition, she met with Klaus who was horrified, at first, but then he eventually resumed romantic things again; both were thrilled to be in a bond where they were both powerful, strong, and cursed as the other. While this was happening with them, Kol and Eldrid would mess with Tristan by performing 'light' later-known-as pranks to subside boredom in between their 'eventful' evenings.
Fleeing & Discovering Compulsion
Not too long after, the news began to spread through the nearby village of demons who feed on blood, and Finn was furious that Klaus, Kol, and Eldrid's antics—along with those of Lucien and Aurora now—allowed word to spread of them. Once they realized their father wouldn't be too far behind, Elijah decided they needed to flee before he got too close. Aurora ran into Elijah as he was packing to leave, and when he told her they had to flee, Aurora commented that she would come with them. Elijah immediately shot the idea down and stated that Mikael's curse was theirs and theirs alone—Aurora wasn't of their blood. Aurora, who was infuriated about the decision, admitted that blood was of no importance since she knew Klaus better than any of them did. Elijah became angry as well, at her remark, and unintentionally compelled her to tell him what she knew about—which forced her to confess that Klaus killed their mother and blamed it on their father so his siblings wouldn't leave him. Elijah, understandably upset at this, used his newfound skill to make Aurora find Klaus awful and cruel for in punishment for what he'd done. When Klaus came to request her to run away with him, Aurora was unable to accept and instead told him that while she thought she loved him, she has suddenly seen him clearly and realized that he was cruel and not deserving of her—and pathetic. He began to cry and told her she was breaking his heart, but she was unable to take back what she said due to the compulsion.
Before all six fled, Elijah personally sired his own vampire—Tristan de Martel. Now understanding compulsion better, Elijah compelled Lucien, Aurora, and Tristan to believe that they were Klaus, Rebekah, and himself; he then compelled the three to flee France and made them bait for Mikael—who was on his way to hunt them down undoubtedly. Once the three progeny fled the court, the six Mikaelsons traveled south to Tuscany, Italy and stayed in the country for an unknown period of time. The compulsion would prove strength in lasting for over a hundred years until the real Mikaelsons were daggered in the 12th century; this effectively broke the mind control Elijah had used on them. Despite Mikael's best efforts, Lucien, Aurora, and Tristan were able to evade him for the entirety of their lives as they traveled across Europe.
Dagger Discovery, Inflicted with Hunter's Curse
Following their arrival in Italy, in the early 1100s, Finn began a relationship with Sage. While Klaus and Rebekah did not approve and treated her poorly so the lovers met in secret, Kol and Eldrid vouched for his happiness and congratulated him for turning her and having his forever. Not too long after she was turned, however, Finn was daggered by Niklaus and Sage was forced to live alone for the next 900 years without him. By the time the year 1110 hit, The Witch of the Five created the supernatural hunters. This is the same year Elijah met Aya who was a highly intelligent outcast; the two eventually began to court before he sired her and turned her into a vampire. They began to create an organization to help usher an era of greater intellectual enlightenment that eventually became known as the Strix.
By the year 1114, the six siblings had been living as nobles in Europe for over a century, and they continued to live in Italy—where they followed the Normans farther south into the country during their conquests. Elijah warned Kol, Eldrid, and Klaus they were causing the story of the Original vampires to spread across the lands due to their indiscriminate feeding, killing, and turning humans into vampires after learning the full extent of their vampire abilities over the decades; Eldrid turned the least amount of people but still caused chaos. Elijah feared that their behavior would attract Mikael's attention and draw him to them. The Brotherhood of the Five hunter Alexander met the six siblings when they arrived in Italy again and they pretend to be mortals and learned about Alexander's mission to his order, believing that their status as daywalkers, thanks to their daylight rings, would keep the hunters from realizing that they were Original vampires. However, while Alexander and Rebekah were being romantic, he revealed he possessed silver daggers that could be used to neutralize a 'special kind of vampire.' Before Rebekah could react to his revelation, Alexander grabbed one of the daggers and drove it into Rebekah's heart—which confirmed that he had figured out Rebekah wasn't human as she'd claimed prior.
Meanwhile, the rest of Alexander's brothers, who were having a sleepover with the four Mikaelson brothers, used their own silver daggers to incapacitate the rest of them; then they remembered one was missing. The Siphoner-Original Vampire Hybrid had just returned from her outing, when she siphoned from herself and used telekinesis to push them back from them with her true face showing, revealing her hybrid nature to them. At this time in another location, the first three sires ever turned remembered who they were and the compulsion broke which lead them to wanting retribution and revenge. Klaus, who was immune to the daggers effects due to his werewolf heritage that was locked away, killed the unaware Alexander and the rest of his brothers in retribution alongside Eldrid for their attack. It was then revealed that at some point prior to the five of them being daggered, Alexander told Rebekah a cure to immortality existed—a secret that no one else had known until then.
Following these events the five, were incorrectly, believed by the Mikaelsons to have become extinct following the deaths of the order's original five members. Unknown to them, the Five's legacy was eventually passed down to other potential hunters—although the methods for which these 'potentials' are chosen remains unknown. After his death, Eldrid watched and held her sister close after she buried Alexander along with his blade—this was done in the church where they were planning to get married. Shortly after killing the entire first generation of the Brotherhood of the Five, Klaus and Eldrid became the first vampire to learn the consequences of killing one of the order's hunters; if a hunter dies at a vampire's hands, they become infected with the Hunter's Curse, a way for the hunter to fulfill their duty one last time, even in death, by driving the vampire to kill themselves. In Eldrid and Klaus' case, they were plagued by relentless upsetting hallucinations that drove them to the brink of suicide; however, because they both were immortal, they were unable to kill themselves even if they wanted to do so—this was due to the relative unavailability of white oak wood in this location. The hallucinations persisted for the next fifty-two years until finally, at least one or as many as five, of the potential hunters of the Five finally activated their legacy by killing a vampire—thereby replacing the original hunter or hunters Klaus and Eldrid killed. The effects of the curse they both faced were so powerful that even Klaus and Eldrid described that the fifty-two years they suffered from it are the only point in their millennium-long immortal life that they had ever truly felt aware of the passage of time(they suffered until Late 1166 or Early 1167). After Klaus removed the silver daggers from the bodies of Elijah, Kol, and Rebekah, he decided to leave Finn daggered as a result from his older half-brother's attitude toward him; Eldrid wanted to argue for their older sibling, but her words went unheard by deaf ears. From then on out, Finn remained dormant in a coffin over nine centuries until he was finally undaggered by Elijah and Damon Salvatore in 2010.
While she loved Kol and her other siblings, the young Mikaelson Eldrid snuck away(1190) when she had the chance to explore the world as she felt cooped up at each place they stayed for too long; admittedly, she was also worried about being neutralized like her siblings had. By the time it was year 1256, she'd made her way to Japan and settled down there on her own for a while. By the time 1274 hit a Mongol and Korean army of some 40,000 men set out from present-day South Korea. On landing in Kyushu it occupied a portion of Hizen province(present-day Saga prefecture) and advanced to Chikuzen. She used her compulsion to convince them to allow her to join under the thought she was one of the men soldiers for Japan. As a Mongol army landed in Hakata bay, forcing most Japanese defenders to back down and retreat, a typhoon suddenly arose and destroyed 200 invading ships while the survivors went back to Korea.
The bakufu prepared measure for a follow-up attack on the area and coastal defenses were strengthened while a stone wall was constructed extending for several miles around Hakata Bay to thwart the powerful Mongol cavalry. After taking five years for this to be built(1279), the Mongols who'd been planning another attack/expedition made two separate armies. One was an eastern army of 40,000 Mongol, northern Chinese, and Korean troops set out from South Korea; the second army of about 100,000 troops from southern China under the command of the Mongol general Hung Ch’a-ch’iu, met the other army at Hirado and in combined efforts assaulted the defenses until they breached it. However, again a fierce typhoon destroyed nearly all of the invading fleet along with the—once again—numerous deaths from the Original vampire, forced them to retreat rather fast. The remaining POW from the invading army was captured by the Japanese—including the 'glamoured' vampire; however, out of the 140,000 invaders fewer than one in five escaped. Following the two battles for Japan she participated in for some useful bloodshed and chaos, she traveled to different areas in Japan seeing both the positives and negatives the fights left behind.
When the Japanese feudal system began to take shape under the Kamakura, she compelled herself into an aristocracy where she lived in a private estate in one of the provinces and wielded power similar to the bakufu. After she got bored, she joined more official training, with compulsion of course, with the greatest warriors of Japan perfecting the art of the Samurai and swordsmanship. Her final trainer was Kurutta before she left.
Daggered 🗡
Once she felt like moving on in the year 1305, she started looking for answers about magic again ending up from different areas in Japan and ended up backtracking to her siblings on accident. She ran into them in 1359 where Klaus proceeded to dagger for her first time ever for her for running off—he ignored that she had survived two battles back in Japan and was now skilled in the blade. When Elijah notes in his journal that he has started to notice Rebekah and Klaus were slowly losing their humanity, he can't make notes about Eldrid due to how long she'd been gone. As one of the eldest brothers, he vowed it was his duty to ensure they stayed on the right path. She remained in that state until Klaus pulled the dagger out of her in 1491.
Along with Elijah and Niklaus, finally being caught up to speed about the 'sun and moon curse,' she was acting in the role of a noblewoman while they were noblemen in England. In March/April of 1492, all three siblings were taken aback by her resemblance to Tatia and realized she was a doppelgänger. She became romantically involved with Klaus—though Elijah withheld feelings for her as well; it was Tatia on repeat. She stayed at their castle with the two lovestruck brothers and only Mikaelson sisters. When April 6 rolled around of that year, the Petrova found out Niklaus' plan to sacrifice her to break his hybrid curse. When Trevor helped her flee, it lead the Mikaelson brothers astray while she ran east to a cottage. This is when she took the Moonstone and tricked Rose-Marie into turning her. When Katerina was on the run, Rose and Trevor joined her as they had aided in her vampiric transition. Naturally the two brothers and their two sisters, followed their trail; however, Eldrid had formed a kindredship with the Petrova. Sometime during the 1500's, the Mikaelson siblings all lived together in Copenhagen, Denmark as referred to by Freya Mikaelson. After two unknown woman accused Rebekah and Eldrid of witchcraft(1694), Klaus turned one into a vampire and compelled her to drink her husband dry; feeling chaotic and bored, even with the insult to her which had been true, Eldrid tortured the other woman before killing her.
New World & Second Daggering 🗡
In 1702, Mikael tracked his children to where they had settled in Cádiz, Spain; he killed Klaus' horse named Theo and stuck the head on a pike in the town square and burned down half the city. Elijah and Klaus left Cadiz on horseback to find Kol and Eldrid to tell them they were leaving the country; when the duo didn't want to leave with them, Klaus and Elijah daggered them and put them in their coffins before joining Rebekah and the daggered Finn on a ship heading for the New World. Kol would not be reawakened for over a century along with his best friend and sister. Eldrid does not get to see when they arrive at the port between the years 1702 and 1718 or assist Klaus, Rebekah, and Elijah in building the city of New Orleans in 1718.
In 1821 when Klaus got jealous of Elijah's bond with Marcel, he settled on undaggering the two chaotic 'twins' so he could have fun with someone. Kol, Eldrid, and Klaus went on a group feeding frenzy during which the three killed at least eighty residents of a tenement building. While Kol got daggered only days later for proving to be a bad influence on Marcel by slaughtering several compelled humans in front of the young boy and feeding him his blood in preparation to turn him into a vampire—Marcel was only elven years old mind you, he remained daggered for almost a century. Meanwhile Eldrid formed a close mentorship with the boy in basic things that weren't related to vampires and became a motherly figure for him. While Klaus gifted him with the Sterling Necklace(unaware that his mother spelled it to cause physical weakness to the wearer since receiving it as a child), Eldrid spells a journal so he can keep his thoughts in one place for no one to read; if someone else were to look, it'd be empty.
In 1835, Klaus daggered Rebekah when she and Marcel went against his own orders and pursued a romantic relationship with one another. In Niklaus-like fashion, he followed the action with giving Marcel an ultimatum: he could either undagger Rebekah and live out the rest of his days as a human with her, or he could leave her daggered until Klaus decided her punishment was completed and he could become a vampire through Klaus. When Marcel chose the latter, Eldrid was slightly disheartened knowing what vampirism did to one's mind overtime herself and worried for her sister; she had been in the coffin enough to not do the rash thing and free her. While she remained daggered for the next fifty-two years, Eldrid made her leave once again to avoid the same thing.
Birth of Ethel Pierce Alias, Finding Out Her Mother's Infidelity
On her journey to Mystic Falls in February 1864, Eldrid runs into her friend who she wanted to personally see for the last three, nearly four, centuries. When Katerina is about to run, she used telekinesis on her while siphoning her vampirism—which catches the Petrova off guard. When she admits she wants to travel with her and explore, although reluctant, she allows her to come. The two decide she will pose as her sister under the guise Ethel Pierce. They are accompanied by Katherine's handmaiden, Emily Bennett, who recognizes Eldrid's parentage through her own magic as it felt 'Bennett-like.' Katherine supports the original vampire through the idea of her mother having a second affair. While Emily was informed that Eldrid was an original and worried about her hybrid nature, she kept that part hidden as she proved herself an ally and told her about some of the Bennett line since the hybrid was born long ago.
The trio show up in Mystic Falls, in early September, where Katherine used the Atlanta Campfires as a cover as she poses as an orphaned girl who lost her parents in those fires along with Ethel/Eldrid. The two stop when Katherine gets enamored by Stefan who was working on the side of the road and, rather immediately, she seeks out refuge in one of his houserooms at the Salvatore Estate. In order to convince Giuseppe to agree, she claimed that she was an orphan girl with her 'sister' who lost their parents in the fires.
After some time in town the two, Katherine eventually admitted to Stefan and Damon that she was a vampire and began relationships with both of them—much to the Original vampire's dismay. While Damon was aware that Katherine was dallying with both of them, Stefan was led to believe that he alone had a romantic-ish bond with her. She and Ethel/Eldrid made friends with the vampires Anna and Pearl during this time—with whom Katherine created a sizable vampire population within the town by siring many of the townsfolk. While the original helped somewhat, she was busy pursuing a relationship with Annabelle. Damon eventually returned after disagreeing with the confederate army's views; not too long after, George Lockwood returned home as well from the same army with a newly-activated werewolf curse from his first human kill in battle. While he was hiding it from the council, when passing him Eldrid/Ethel caught wind of him and recognized what he was instantly but didn't let that into the air around either of them or anyone else.
Overtime the founding families were catching wind of the vampire issue in town, Honoria Fell brought a new elixir to Pearl's Apothecary and asked Pearl to sell it at a reduced rate; once she examined it, she realized it contained vervain and brought it to the Pierces' attention and insisted the town was becoming suspicious before suggesting that Katherine carrying on with both Salvatore brothers wasn't helping the case; Ethel/Eldrid agreed with her wanting to not be so exposed as she didn't want to be found by her father. On September 24 of that year, the very first Founder's Party was held at the original Lockwood Mansion. Henry told the 'sisters' that the recent attacks on residents locally didn't seem to be vampire ones, but the victims seemed mauled by something foreign to him. While Katherine confronted George at the town's first-ever Founders' Ball and told him she knew his secret(from her own deduction plus Ethel/Eldrid admitted she'd seen a werewolf), she mentions him being a werewolf and that he'd been killing the townspeople during full moons and blaming it on the vampires to avoid his own persecution. Ethel/Eldrid went with for backup as an original vampire-witch hybrid of her own volition. The last moments of peace Katherine got were when Stefan confessed his love to her that evening after the ball and Damon eavesdropped on the two.
When September 25 of that year came, the Battle of Willow Creek began and the founding families enacted their plan to round-up and mass murder the Mystic Falls' vampire population—with every intent of writing off the vampire deaths as civilian casualties in the war. Having stayed with Annabelle the prior night she missed out on all the fun at the Salvatore House, but she did manage to get taken of her own volition to save Katherine. Damon made a bargain, desperate to save Katerina, with Emily Bennett in which he swore to protect her descendants if she would protect Katherine from the mass killing of vampires. Once they were believed to be dead, she was about to siphon the door when George came and saved them; the two 'sisters' both left and worried someone knew she was an Original, Eldrid said goodbye to Katherine for a while. The Original sibling promised to harbor her secret about the Moonstone from her older brother as Katherine took a risk in trusting her. Even though her descendant was outed as a witch, appreciative of telling her some of her paternal history, Eldrid saved her and sped them away from Mystic Falls. Once safely nestled in a nearby town, she parted ways with her descendant and promised to check up on others down the line as time passed on before they parted ways. Little did she know that Katherine would reinsure that the Bennett died in the same manner as Eldrid saved her from.
Return to New Orleans & Third Daggering 🗡
By the year 1887, Eldrid had made her way back to the city she assumed her family would be as she missed them and wanted Kol back again. In the actual year of 1887, Klaus undaggered Rebekah but didn't do the same for Kol; however, the only other Mikaelson girl(at the time) was ecstatic about her sister being not desiccated again after fifty-two years had passed. Rebekah, who was upset with Marcel for his choice back then, began to hold a grudge against him. Elijah took both of the sisters to the city's opera theatre to celebrate Rebekah's reintroduction into New Orleans society; the only reason Klaus didn't dagger the returning sister was Elijah wanting to do this with them. However Klaus was set on daggering his sister and did so not long after they got back home.
Undaggered with Kol & Covertly Leading A Witches' War
When the year 1901 hit Klaus finally undaggered his sister, making it the only daggering that was under a century long for her, along with Kol knowing he'd be able to reign one in if both were there; they were inseparable after all. After Kol's eighty years of neutralization in a coffin and having his favorite sister(sorry Bekah) around, the two connect over what he missed. She admits she found out their mother had a second affair and that she has relation to the Bennett bloodline through her biological father. At this time unknown to the siblings, Aurora and Lucien were taking a vacation in Paris. Late Halloween and early November 1, 1903, the siblings could see an Aurora Borealis in the skies above New Orleans, Louisiana(it was also visible in Mystic Falls, Virginia) while throwing one of the famous parties they did back then; being similar to her brother Kol, Eldrid saw it before keeping herself occupied indoors with some of the guests. For the next eleven years, she lived with her siblings in one of the most 'peaceful times' it had while also secretly meeting with witches(who didn't like her hybrid nature she flaunted) to figure out the limits to her abilities as a 'siphon' and they reluctantly assisted when she offered to make them some magical artifacts to defend themselves—later dubbing the term dark objects by Kol when he joined her with his own mission; the witches accepted the deal and formed a bond with the two.
When 1914 hit in New Orleans, the siblings had to deal with the brewing war; the witch community split into two factions during this time: ones who sided with the Mikaelsons including Niklaus, and those that sided with Kol and Eldrid. Despite the beliefs that the two easily-bored siblings that were hip-to-hip would only use them and then discard them like trash, the two held them in high regard. Kol and Eldrid had reason to believe Niklaus would have them all wiped out if he had his way—which naturally upset, not only Kol, but the half-witch hybrid herself. Seeking the future safety of the future generations of witches, the two siblings and the witches aligned with them planned to get rid of him even if it meant taking out his own witch followers—which saddened the Mini Kol Mikaelson. While Kol taught the witches(outside of Eldrid who had already magic-knowledge exchanged often with him) how to create dark objects that were specific to Kemiya(a type of magic he'd learned in Arabia between the 13th and 17th century), Eldrid taught the witches about the magic she knew of from her own travels to places including Asia's other countries.
Some of the objects made during this time included: the Devil's Star, a rosary that would drive someone to madness, shackles that would cut off a witches power(that proved to not work on Eldrid due to her self-siphoning and accidental destruction of dark objects doing so), a bracelet that would force compliance when one couldn't be compelled, and one bracelet specifically created by Eldrid that would defend any witch who wore it from their heart being ripped out(she did test this on one of their witches) along with other supernaturally done harm. All the dark objects proved useful and were created so that Kol could utilize his own slice of magic without still being a witch himself(which Eldrid had tried to fix to no avail); both siblings, having enough of the daggers for being curious and themselves and Eldrid who was done with him killing her last long-time lover in 1907 named Margaret, strategized on using these against their brother Niklaus and anyone who sided with him as well. Both hoped that Mary-Alice and Astrid would grow experienced enough to create a dagger that would work on their older brother; they did well keeping their endeavors hidden in a tomb in Lafayette Cemetery.
December 1914, Discovering Hybrid Trait, Meeting Freya
Despite the efforts of all these things, the two witches were unable to turn the silver dagger into gold—which prompted the heretic to try again only to growl in frustration. One day while she remained patient and they were at St. Anne's Church, Kol began to lose his which lost them followers much to his sister's dismay. Kol brutally acted out in a temper tantrum until his sister swooped in magically shoving him back and holding him in place before turning to glance at the remaining half of the group that weren't slaughtered. When he argued with his original goal to kill one woman so they could enter her home to find a large paragon diamond that could be used to channel more magic(to create the new dagger) for Eldrid to siphon from in a worst case scenario, she threw him across the room in rushed off in anger to do things her own way. This would be their first real dispute in almost 900 years of immortal life. Eldrid was more than displeased when he killed their trusted allies in his own rage; while she could do such brutish acts herself when losing her own patience or bored, she felt protective of all witches and his actions perturbed her.
Kol pursued the paragon diamond, a short time later with Astrid and Mary-Alice who'd set up a boundary spell to keep anyone from entering after them, and soon Kol was confronted by Klaus and Marcel(who Eldrid didn't mind and still doted on; she didn't tip them off, and the two had no idea why he wanted it at all) as he left the home; Klaus forced Kol to hand over the object and then had one of his own witches trap Mary-Alice and Astrid inside the mansion with Mary-Alice's own boundary spell for the rest of their days—which dismayed Kol. Regardless of their dispute, he kept his silence about Eldrid's involvement and expressed that he was working alone with the witches in her stead(she'd been the one to suggest the idea). Klaus took her into a solitary area, not long after, and attempted to torture her by removing her daylight ring; both were astounded when they realized her nature as a siphon meant she didn't have to fear daylight and didn't need the ring. However, she kept wearing it to fool her enemies and catch them off-guard to allow them to believe they'd falsely won. Eventually when she wouldn't fess up and explained a believable lie, Klaus dropped any ideas of her involvement and stopped torturing her by other means. After apologizing in his Klaus way of going on a feeding frenzy, the two made-up to an extent. (Note: Because of how powerful the boundary spell on the house now was, the New Orleans covens began using the home as an asylum and prison for their fellow witches who had either broken the coven's rules or who were driven to insanity by witchcraft--seeing as the boundary spell Klaus' ally had cast ensured no one would be able to escape the home once they were inside.)
Sometime close to this, Kol crossed paths with their eldest sister, unaware that's who she was, and they befriended each other. Freya's own goal was to catch a glimpse of all her siblings including her to half-siblings; while Kol intended to befriend her so she could help him create the dagger that would work on Klaus. While Eldrid would spy for the brother she couldn't meet eyes with from time-to-time, she kept herself occupied flirting with various girls at the Christmas party they were hosting. Shortly after the events, at the Christmas party of December 1914, Kol stepped out to search for the paragon diamond which was hidden in Niklaus' room—as he was still intent on going through with Eldrid's plan. However, Rebekah caught him and actually agreed to help; he explained the plan, not mentioning their sister's involvement or prior involvement, to create a dagger to make Klaus feel their pain. Rebekah told him to return to the party before his absence would be noticed. At this time, Kol approached Eldrid who had her attempts to swoo the girl rejected in front of him—and neither had any idea she was interacting with their eldest sister. This was when it was revealed Kol came to the party with Freya; their eldest sister crossed paths with Rebekah for the first time as well and they shared a toast with each other across the room. As the evening progressed Kol grew more pleased, but Eldrid was displeased with Niklaus' watchful eye on her 'twin'—as joked by her siblings. (Note: None of the siblings recognized her as their older sister, but she was recognized as a witch by Rebekah and Eldrid at least. Rebekah assumed she was Kol's date to the party; Eldrid tried to hit on Freya herself, and Freya found the interaction with Eldrid humorous.)
During the cursed hybrid's speech, Klaus revealed he knew about, what he presumed was Kol's plan, and Kol fled up the stairs once he realized his hard work was squashed. Rebekah had warned Klaus at some point in the evening of Kol's plans and lied smoothly to Kol about assisting him; after referencing the betrayal, he vocalized how his other siblings were loyal before proceeding the next course of action. Elijah halted his younger brother, during this, and pinned him down so Klaus could dagger him—which neutralized him for another nine decades—in front of the entire party. (Note: After the party, an unknown determinate amount of time later, Freya(and I'm sure Dahlia too) once again fell into their typical century-long sleep as the condition to their immortality and invulnerability. Before their slumber or after, Freya ended up inside the Fauline cottage--though how or why is still unknown--where her unconscious body was eventually placed in a glass coffin and locked inside the attic. She remained there for the duration of her deep slumber--during which time the cottage became known as the makeshift asylum for the criminal and/or mentally unstable witches of the New Orleans covens.)
Seeing Off A Son, Fourth Daggering, & WWI 🗡
In 1916 when Marcel got fed up with Klaus' habit of controlling him while he tried to get over Rebekah—who he still cared for, the first person he told his goal of enlisting in the army to was Eldrid. While Eldrid expressed concerns, she saw him off with a solemn(nearly motherly even) smile to the World War I and reminded him that he was a Mikaelson too. This is where he was assigned to the 369th Regiment, or better known as, Harlem Hell Fighters and Brotherhood of the Damned and deployed off to Séchault, France shortly afterward despite Klaus' protests that he stay at home where he belonged. During the time of Marcel's absence, Eldrid's mood fell without him there or Kol's antics. During this time, she personally went to Klaus and requested to be daggered until Marcel's return. Klaus, more than surprised by her request, complied with the promise he or Elijah would pull it out once he'd returned.
Niklaus decided to undagger her in 1918 to talk Marcellus into returning to New Orleans. Marcel continued to fight in Séchault, France during WWI and attained the rank of Corporal following the death of his predecessor; the Harlem Hell Fighters admired his dedication to their work in maintaining the line, but the regiment wasn't a priority when it came to the Army headquarters. Despite the fact that the United States Army as a whole knew the German military had poisonous gas they were using against their enemies, Marcel's regiment became low on most supplies—like food, ammunition, and lack of gas masks. When Nik and Eldrid tracked him down to where the regiment was fighting within France, the cursed hybrid summoned his adopted son to their regional headquarters. Once the younger vampire showed up, Nik tried to talk Marcel into returning with them both; however when he denied and refused to leave his men or abandon them—going as far as rejecting one of Klaus' gifts of women to feed on(when he was starving for weeks), Eldrid said she would join him in helping his friends using all her abilities she could. Nik tried to convince her to come back, but reminded himself how she worried silly like a true mother would've, and allowed this since it calmed his own concerns for Marcel.
When the Original Hybrids and her 'son' returned to where his team was, they found the soldiers had been exposed to mustard gas while Marcel had been gone and were without gas masks to fight it off. Many of the men were already dead, but Joe Dalton and many others were still alive and fading fast. When Marcel apologized to them and lamented on failing, Joe insisted that he wouldn't be struggling if he was turned--which Eldrid had to admit would give them a fighting chance at survival. While he remained torn and didn't want to condemn them to an eternity of being one of them, he eventually agreed when Eldrid admitted it was the only way she saw a solution—and she'd been in fights before. Eldrid helped him sire the remaining soldiers—which made the remaining soldiers a mix of Klaus' bloodline and her own. Once the newly-transitioning vampires awoke, Marcel led the men over to the trenches and onto the battlefields; this is where they fed on the German soldiers and completed their own transformations into vampires which continued the reputation of maintaining their line when all the others failed. Naturally having the siphoner hybrid with them also increased their chances, when she ravaged the fields with her magic and had her own feeding frenzy; it was like an endless buffet to her. When Klaus left the two older vampires, he made Eldrid promise to come back alive—which she did.
The Prodical Son & Mother Return
Marcel and Eldrid made their return in 1919 to New Orleans, once World War I ended, and reunited with Klaus, Elijah, and Rebekah at the compound. They were held a welcome home party; while Rebekah gave him the cold shoulder every time he approached her due to her unrelenting anger for choosing vampirism over their relationship in the 1800s, she stayed attached to her sister most of the time—Eldrid felt sorry for the man that was like a son to her.
This is also the time frame that Papa Tunde, a witch that practiced both ancestral and sacrificial magic, made his arrival in New Orleans and claimed leadership over the French Quarter Coven where he promised to help the coven vanquish their enemies; in doing this, he killed any human, witch, werewolf, and vampire who opposed his rule and used their deaths to fuel his sacrificial magic. Locals who were killed by the new leader during this time included many like Mayor O'Connell and many members of the Guerrera werewolf crime family. Once enough deaths happened, this caught Eldrid's attention where she had a witch who was still allied with her keep watch over the issue. Elijah and Klaus attempted to form an alliance with the Guerrera family by making the following deal(which benefitted both sides in the face of the recent passage of Prohibition in the United States): the brothers would allow the Guerreras access to the ports they held reign over so the mobsters could smuggle alcohol(which was now illegal following the new rules on Prohibition) into the city; in doing so, the brothers would make the Guerreras the public face of the ports while they, who were trying to remain inconspicuous to avoid Mikael being drawn to them in their new home, would secretly remain in charge and would make important business decisions in the background.
Meanwhile, Niklaus had his sister keep a close eye on the witches since she was already in contact with them(she brought up the issue)—and she was part witch; Niklaus, who knew the new arrival posed a threat to their livelihoods in the city, studied the witch for weeks to learn his weaknesses before making any first moves along with an impatient Eldrid at the number of witch deaths. When he learned from Eldrid about the bulk of his power coming from channeling the magical power of his own twin sons, Klaus killed the young boys before taking advantage of Tunde's weakness and killing him by gouging out his eyes with his thumbs. This disheartened the half-witch hybrid when she arrived as she would have taken them in, but knew why Niklaus did it; she didn't like the number of witches dying—it was worse than Klaus ever did formerly. She may be willing to murder dozens with her siblings, but she would never harm a child(unless out of control which was rare).
After Tunde's death, Marcel admitted to Rebekah that he brought the threatening witch here to the city, in the high spirits that Niklaus would leave them there and alone, so the two could pursue their romantic relationship like they'd wanted. When Rebekah told him that he'd dealt with enough Tunde-like people in his life, by the hundredth mark, they realized that there was only one person who Klaus feared enough to flee town and escape from them; it meant leading their father into town, Mikael the oldest Original vampire and vampire hunter who'd been after them since centuries ago, but they kept their plot secret from the other two undaggered siblings along with Niklaus(Elijah and Eldrid). Rebekah and Marcel then decided to seek the help of a witch to summon Mikael to the city; however, they didn't come to their sister unsure of her own views and not risking anything.
Rebekah befriended a fellow nurse named Genevieve who worked with her at the Fleur-de-Lis Sanatorium with her, but she also happened to be a powerful witch part of the French Quarter Coven. Initially, Rebekah only formed any friendship with her for the spell to summon her father to the city and rid them of Klaus; then she could have her happy ever after with Marcel. However, Rebekah began to care for real and form a real friendship which was mutual for Genevieve as well; this led to second thoughts about her plan where she nearly went to her sister but didn't. At some point after, Rebekah and Marcel decided to go through with the plan and requested for her friend to summon Mikael with the magical message that would bring him there; however, they did this by leading the witch on that they'd be reuniting a family after multiple years apart. Meanwhile, Eldrid had fallen for Genevieve in secret after a run in at a local business; she kept it a secret so Klaus wouldn't kill her new love interest. The two met for dates once a week; this had been an occurrence since her first week back home. This eventually led Eldrid to admitting that she was one of the Original vampires but also a witch; shockingly for the hybrid, the witch didn't reject her and the two only got closer.
Rebekah hadn't known this when she befriended the witch she was using and didn't find out until after she killed her later on. After Tunde was defeated, both brothers were finally able to unite every faction in New Orleans against Prohibition—including human and supernaturals alike. Being thrilled and elated to finally have an achieved peace between every faction, Niklaus decided to finally give Marcel and Rebekah his blessing to be together after all the years saying no—unaware of the betrayal they'd done. However, since it had been six months since they sent the message, Rebekah and Marcel hoped that Mikael hadn't gotten it—as they didn't want to ruin their relationships with Klaus now that they were finally all a happy family. Only a week prior, Eldrid had moved in with Genevieve and Klaus was pleased enough with the current arrangement of things that he gave them his blessing too. By this timeframe, Eldrid had reintegrated with the witches often and spent her days painting both safe and otherwise unsafe portraits of her secret girlfriend(from public eyes). Unfortunately for them, Mikael had returned to town that very day and was discreetly watching them to learn more about his children's lives in New Orleans.
Selfish Betrayals, Loss of First Love
Rebekah, worried about Klaus discovering their betrayal, went to confront Genevieve who had just informed her Original Hybrid lover the night prior about her sister's ask. When she showed up, she confronted the witch and requested she cancel the summon to the city of New Orleans; when the witch insisted that spells don't work that way and that it was now impossible to take back, Rebekah grew angry which led to her revealing the true nature of their friendship. While Genevieve respected and knew how the blonde's sister felt, she still resented Rebekah(but not Eldrid who never asked anything of her but love). The witch, who was dating Rebekah's sister, threatened to expose this to Klaus with hopes that he would show them all mercy with his mood of late. However Rebekah, out of fear and resentment, forced a bloody handkerchief of one of their influenza patients into her former friend's face which infected her with the disease—sentencing her to death. While Rebekah was paranoid her sister had fed her blood to her, she had to do something. Around that moment, Clara Summerlin(being possessed by Celeste Dubois) walked in as Rebekah did this and forced, unintentionally, her to infect her as well to keep the secret. To cover up the whole scene, she compelled several orderlies to keep them isolated in quarantine for the duration of their illness—which meant that both women subjected to this would ultimately die.
Eldrid went to take some lunch to her 'friend' but girlfriend in actuality and found her sickly in the bed. While she vouched for turning the witch, Genevieve declined and told her that Rebekah caused this whole thing and that she loved Eldrid. The Original Witch Hybrid visited her in her dreams until she took her last breathes and comforted her lovely witch girlfriend; the crying Eldrid had to restrict herself from doing anything to help her dying girlfriend refusing to leave her side and felt the anger take over as she watched her last breathes. The orderlies that the sister had re-compelled with new directions to allow her through faced her wrath before she left the building. Rebekah had gone to see if her sister had fed her blood to the witch discreetly but was confused to not find her at her new home painting. Before the Original Hybrid could go home after following the rules of the French Quarter Coven—by burying her lover's remains to be consecrated to the earth(along with the other witches) so her spirit could be sent to join the Ancestors in the Ancestral Plane, she went to warn Klaus of the impending doom(which she hadn't managed to do yet as she debated on running sooner than her sibling, but she didn't want to leave Marcel or Genevieve) but was stopped by her father; she was about to magic Mikael backwards but he noted his daughter's tears.
She declined explaining why, but during her current fit of anger and pettiness, he talked her into joining him against her sister who killed her lover. That same day as he arrived, Mikael went to convince Elijah to join in but he refused which lead to, the female hybrid, in blind rage, complying with her father's whims when he asked her to hold Elijah in place with her magic so he could temporarily stake him. Taking the time of opportunity to strike Klaus, he asked his daughter to keep watch claiming he'd track down Rebekah. In all honestly, he went to track down Klaus who was at an opera house.
Realizing even more angrily she had been lied to by her own stepfather, she grew into a steeper rage and went to track down her own father. She arrived right after he compelled the entire audience to stay seated and laugh at the show he was going to put on to torture his false son. Right after he killed several werewolves and vampires with brutal manipulation which included Klaus' own lover named Lana, Eldrid showed up as he continued to torture Marcellus—who was seriously wounded as well—and fearlessly sped to save her flipping 'son.' Just as she hit the stage to save the younger vampire, taking her siblings for a shock, Mikael and her siblings engaged in a fight with him while she tried to get Marcel to drink her blood to heal. After Mikael had shoved the three fighting him back, the father figure set the stage on fire and made it appear as if he staked their sister with white oak when he hadn't. He only spared her, as he was unaware of the reason behind her magic being the way it was meant there had been an affair and she wasn't his child, due to her usefulness.
Before he could discuss the next actions with his 'daughter,' she turned herself invisible and sped away with Marcel to get back to the compound. Her siblings had left the burning opera house in the belief she and Marcel were dead; Elijah, Klaus, and Rebekah managed to escape mostly unharmed before parting ways. While Klaus and Rebekah fled New Orleans to seek safety anywhere else than there, Elijah stayed behind to delay Mikael feeling guilty that his sister had been ended—like he hadn't been a good elder brother or defending her enough. By this point all three Mikaelsons, believed both Marcellus and Eldrid dead—unaware they'd been sitting in Marcel's room at the compound with an Eldrid holding his hand like a mother would. For all intents and purposes, she saw him like a son and he saw her as a mother figure; she had trust in him many showed they didn't from time to time. They stood side-by-side in WWI, she talked Klaus into him getting to do his own things, and she respected his decisions. However, having lost her lover and feeling way too many emotions while she knew he would survive once he been fed some human blood, she cried there and he was the one consoling her. This was a shock to the younger vampire as he'd always seem her act so tough around him—yet here she was crying. At some point after this confrontation with his father, Elijah left New Orleans without stopping by the compound as he only stopped by his sister's newfound home and went to inform Genevieve only to find no one there; he took his sister's latest personal diary at the time and kept it for memorial's sake. Mikael, pulled between the three groups and based on history more targeting Klaus than the others, followed their trail and assumed he would find her with them or nearby them as she usually ran.
After the three Mikaelson's had fled town, Marcel began working to gain control over New Orleans by choosing suitable humans to turn into vampires with Eldrid's full support and pride in him; she still had no idea of his involvement with Mikael's return. She cleaned up her dead girlfriend's home and continued to live there to honor her memory; she was partially surprised to see coven members come check on her from time-to-time. After a few weeks of watching him succeed and of her heart swelling with pride, she didn't feel he needed her presence anymore; to which he said he always will need her again at some point, but he knew she was struggling to stay in the place where her world fell apart. With sentiments both parted ways but not without her leaving him with one last piece of advice and asking him to not murder too many witches—as they still were part of her own history and had told him about her mother's infidelity from what she found out in Mystic Falls when she last left. This piece of advice was to take care of himself and to never forget that she'd have his back always and forever. She stopped by the cemetery to say goodbye to the witches and explained she couldn't be there anymore; more that she didn't want to subject them to her normal grieving habits. As one final wish, unsure when she would return, she left them with one of her homemade spells to honor the dead and a rose for her former girlfriend's grave; she cast it with them in the honor and memory of Genevieve before she took a flight to England.
Moving Countries & Rest of 20th Century
⚜︎ Irma Lynn James(London in England, 1920-1935) & Roxanne Leigh Emerson(Downtown Manhattan in New York City, 1935-1952)
Eldrid took on a fake identity as Irma Lynn James in the 1920s as a means to not be found by her father and keep herself hidden from many others; she settled down in London, England with many nights spent enjoying alcohol and the occasional feeding frenzy on her extra depressive days. She actually was the answer to an unsolved serial killer case during that duration (dubbed The Killer Raven), as no one suspected a woman to be the cause of so many murders—and they didn't even consider a vampire of any level thanks to how she took out her grief. She lived like one of the wealthy after compelling herself into someone's extravagant home and to believe she was his adoptive daughter for years; to add onto her lie, she compelled him to think she had a husband and put many fake memories in his head. Following this, she cut her hair and wore shorter clothes than she had her prior years to blend in with the crowd. While she wanted to blend in with the world and not stand out too much, she decided on joining acting in theatre to further perfect the idea of blending in. It seemed normal for woman of this time to do as she made a name for herself under the guise Irma James. This went on until 1935 when she began to get questions on her lack of aging; she went to her 'home' and compelled her 'parents' to forget her existence unless her acting was brought to the surface—then they would remember that and only that with their own swelling pride; her car was left to them and she took another flight and landed in New York City—specifically settling down in downtown Manhattan where she remained until 1950.
She began her career as a writer for some newspapers, compelling when needed to get an extra hand, and was one of the most successful under the name Roxanne Emerson for ten years before she got bored; that's when she decided to just take a break from it—but remained under the name she used as a journalist.
⚜︎ Maxine Cynthia Todd(Detroit in Michigan, 1952-1983)
Around the year 1952, she donned a new name Maxine Todd and relocated to Detroit, Michigan and began to get involved with a group of witches and trained them—neglecting to mention her real name or that she was a vampire at all. During this time, she also attended college at Oakland University(which was founded in 1957) from 1973 to 1977 majoring in Acting(B.F.A. Degree). When 1982 was ending, she left claiming that her family had reached out to her by letter—and she lost contact with them. In reality, she knew while spells could extend a witches' life that it only worked for so long—she didn't want to test her limits when all she knew was vampirism for the last near-millennium.
⚜︎ Charliene Gabrielle Knight(Chicago in Illinois, 1983-2007)
Around 1983 she landed in Chicago, Illinois, and took on the name Charliene Knight who went by 'Charlie' and remained there for easily twenty-four years and managed to meet Gloria at her bar; however, Gloria found out her true identity and suggested she check on her paternal bloodline when casting a spell. At this time, was also when she found out her siblings had stopped by back in the 1920's and claimed she'd died. While she pondered on how to get in touch with them or the best spell, unaware Rebekah had been daggered since the year 1922, she spotted Katherine and happened to see someone who looked like Anna but doubted it was her at all(1983). While she didn't approach the former friends and reveal herself as she had made a name for herself in the city as Charlie Knight, she did keep close tabs discreetly when she could. She didn't want to blow her cover with any of the other supernaturals around. When 2007 rolled around, Eldrid wanted to move on again and take her advice and left Gloria with her phone number for her Sidekick Slide cell phone and parted ways to her next place; she still had neglected to contact her siblings as she got caught up exploring.
⚜︎ Cornelia Avery Cook(Traveling, 2007-Dependant On RP But At Least 2008)
While her destination was Mystic Falls, she got rather distracted with helping teach young witches along the way and took on the name Cornelia Cook when asked her name. However, she did exchange phone numbers with those of them that had phones so they could reach out. She ended up helping more than she expected, and it delayed her quite a bit.

Harry Potter Hogwarts House (Bonus for Fun): Slytherin or Gryffindor
Eldrid has always been close with her family; she even took to being the more mature between herself or Kol on numerous occasions. However, they both acted similar in the way of getting bored, studying magic, and forming schemes that the other usually knew about. For much of their long lives, they were the closest between her and her other siblings—since Henrik died anyway who she was motherlike to. As the millennium passes by and her family begins to pull from one another, she is saddened much like Kol. Her love for family is expressed when she tries to find a way to use her own hybrid nature to restore Kol's magic but tends to fail on many occasions; she knew he missed his magic and being a witch as they'd both been prodigies—although Eldrid would need to siphon to cast spells. Out of all their siblings, the two connected well with their personalities and the power that magic gave them both; which means when they turned and she thought they both lost their magic, she felt resentful towards her mother. Much like Kol, at least until her later years of immortal life, she would not let go of a lie even once caught in an act. Along with the other shared traits with Kol that make people joke they're twins, she is a huge flirt with the ladies; while she has liked a guy once or twice, she is seen going with Kol to have some fun either meaning feeding and causing chaos or other things. However once she finds someone she truly she feels she has something meaningful with, she will do anything to protect them and be loyal to them without hitting on anyone else.
Specifically once they became Original vampires, Eldrid acts much like her little brother Kol. Many would describe her as menacing, unpredictable, dangerous, wicked, cheeky, somewhat unreasonable and cocky to a fault, and hot-headed to a degree worse than even Kol. She isn't afraid or hesitant to go from being a kind and respectful woman to aggressive and willing to kill anyone. Depending on who she is around, she can either be filled with charm and dignity or be condescending to someone; it all depends on her mood and how they first met. With her siblings, she is rather teasing and willing to challenge them with sass, snark, contempt, and sarcasm—she does this often with all her siblings outside of the eventual Freya. All her siblings can either refer to her as the backup Elijah or the patronizing sass queen with a knack for craving attention—as she struggles with the same outsider-ness Kol did for the longest time. Her favorite people to pick on are Klaus and Kol, the latter appreciates it as that's how they express their sibling love, while she tends to show more sarcasm to the younger sister. Although she is quite the tease, she will do anything for family and will express her real thoughts when needed—however it isn't easy to get her to drop her tough act.
Eldrid lives by the idea of breaking rules and defiance along with her brother, when necessary, she will stay within the guidelines; she also tends to try to follow them until she feels so burnt out in one place, as she gets stir crazy and likes to travel, that she will sneak way and ignores her worries about being daggered again—although the worries always return. The brother she has the most disconnect with is Finn as he feels like he wants to be the big brother due to entitlement unlike Elijah who shows he's earned it by actions. Even when Kol and Eldrid were human, Finn would refer to them as the wildest and enabling each other's actions too often; naturally for the two, they would find ways to call the eldest brother boring. Along with the aforementioned cockiness, she isn't afraid to call herself beautiful and gets flustered when someone doesn't fall for her charms—which only intrigues her more. This is further expressed when her playgirl nature and desire to feel ecstatic or pleased show—which makes many not realize she missed being human—and they assume she entirely loves her vampire nature. One of her traits that represents her well, is her desire to get even, get revenge, and be petty—often referred to as vindictive by enemies; much like Klaus or Kol, she doesn't hesitate to get retribution on those who have caused her pain—which lead to her and Kol's witch war back in the early 1900s. She can easily plot for decades against someone who harms her or those she deems worth caring for—such as when Rebekah killed her girlfriend in 1919, Klaus killed her lovers in the past, when Klaus daggered her without consent, etc. While she doesn't forgive easily and will pretend to get successful revenge, she starts to be less vindictive once she starts to see Marcel as a son—unless he is harmed.
During her many centuries of life, she finds child-like enjoyment from acts of violence along with Kol—often comparing them to modern games like hide-and-seek or believing there is always time to play around. While she is much like Kol, she takes things seriously sooner, and her entire demeanor will shift into that of a motherly and sisterly nature. These are the times that Kol will often earn small objects lodged in his shoulder out of her anger and protectiveness.
While she is capable or massive sadistic actions, she doesn't give in near as often as Kol—as expressed when she and him parted ways in opinions during the witch war after he killed half of the witches that were aligned with them. She may not express care or many people in her life outside of family, but she will do anything for fellow witches that don't attempt to call her an abomination for being a hybrid. She goes as far as promising to protect bloodlines, saving ones in peril, training younger witches, and going against her family if mass witch genocide is considered. For this reason, she is seen as the only 'old one' with good terms with witches—until Esther happens. Every chance she gets to help another witch, she takes the chance; if it bites her in the neck, she will kill them without remorse or guilt. When Kol had an entire theatre troop perform and murder each other by compulsion in front of Marcel—who she already bonded with—she grimaced and berated him. She could do similar messed up things, but not in front of a child. When they first turned, unless she lost control, she would harm anyone indiscriminately but refused to harm pregnant women or children and opted to compel them to leave(once they found out how). She doesn't mind going on massacres with her brother but, by 2010, she reconnects more with her humanity enjoying her fake human life often declining to join him. Much like Hope brings back Klaus' humanity, Marcel brought back Eldrid's unknowingly.
During her century that her family believes her dead, she only manages to reconnect more to her missed humanity as she trains witches and meets other covens. When she meets Gloria, she even stays with her longer than she would've to come to her aid and becoming one of her real friends. While Kol was daggered, she didn't outgrow being callous or vindictive, but it became more of something that showed when those she cared for got threatened; the same goes for her tendency to use others to get what she wants as she starts to feel the general compassion she once only held for family turn into something for friends as well. Her biggest sign of her changes, which sadden but bring pride to Elijah, was when she went from selfishly running from their father like all of them to showing courage when he caused harm to Marcellus. Coming to his aid, despite her fear of their father, and willing to risk everything left an imprint on her siblings minds during her believed death. This reaffirmed Elijah's belief that they all could be redeemed in due time and given the chance—even if he had moments he faltered in such thoughts. While she never completely loses her dark side and will still embrace it, especially when mourning, she is able to show more of the hidden good side. Vampirism is said to enhance one's personality, making most presume correctly that she and Kol hid their kind sides from strangers often during their childhood—most likely due to Mikael's maliciousness to Niklaus when he deemed him weak. Unlike Rebekah who defended him and nearly killed their father as a human, after Eldrid's first time doing so and taking harm, Eldrid backed down but would show Klaus she cared in the form of other actions such as smoothly lying in his aid without getting caught.
With the Mystic Falls gang under her guise as Taranee Hale, she acts childlike and carefree. However, as observed by her closest sibling Kol, she always harbored this deep down after Rebekah was born—which was when she grew her tough exterior to prove to Rebekah girls were tough too. She fools the entire gang into thinking she's a carefree, adventurous, daring, fearless, and sometimes petty human--eventually some would compare her to a Luna Lovegood deep down in her heart; that is until the Originals come to town and her brother let's out her secret on accident. However, she then merges the two making Elijah believe that Marcel and living a fake human life had done her good and helped heal her. While it had truthfully done so, she still expressed actions that revealed the older and centuries-long persona still existed--such as when she and Damon did things and when she had to defend her family or friends. While she still does merciless activities with her brother, once he is undaggered, she shows more restraint and kills less than she used to. Elijah observes the only reason she picked up similar tendencies to Kol to his degree before—like his mayhem and violence and the more vampiric side and it was part of her too—that she took it to the extremes for his sake so he didn't feel alone as she could relate from their shared exclusion of 'Always and Forever' until later. While Elijah and Kol didn't always meet eye-to-eye(despite Kol's looking up to Elijah like the other Mikaelson siblings) Elijah and Eldrid seemed to have a bond as two siblings who took on and earned their older-siblings-like respect, and she admitted her feelings to him more than most. By the time Freya is outed as their sibling, Eldrid and her form a bond through their witchcraft and the witch becomes the only one she rarely teases unless around all their siblings; they often work together to face threats from then on out and learn from one another. Elijah also notes that she has taken to his nature of making only promises they intended to keep from his examples during childhood; she always kept her word if she gave it the entire time they'd been vampires. Her sense of honor is similar to Kol's or Niklaus' as she never went back on her word; she would have moments of looking for loopholes if it came to her family's lives or friends but only then; if one didn't threaten them, they had a true promise on their hands like with Elijah.
Her motherly protection of Marcel eventually leads to her having to remind Kol that she treated him in the manner first and that no one can replace her best friend in their entire lives; no matter how much she defends Marcel, she would always do the same for her brother. While this does help, it doesn't get rid of his jealously of Marcellus that he holds onto, and it causes his bitterness to grow since most of the others paid more attention to Marcel—while his sister began to heal while she saw Marcel like her son. While the two siblings remained close, this would lead into her more human side showing again eventually and her showing the side she kept behind a barrier for many centuries even during part of her human life. She was always enjoyed what made her different and had no shame to be independent—often upsetting her father. However even once she joins her two sides of herself, she doesn't take well to betrayal whether they were friends or not; if anyone she considers a friend were to kill one of her siblings, she'd go on a rampage and struggle to trust the one who committed the crime or was involved ever again; it would be even harder to regain her trust and good side, if they killed Elijah or Kol. Once reunited with her whole family, they seem to get inspired by her willingness to show the part she hid for centuries upon centuries--a side only loyal lovers ever saw in private like Annabelle or Genevieve in centuries prior. Once all her siblings truly understood who she was, they would refer to her as a mix of Kol and Rebekah. No matter the timeframe, she is intelligent, calculating, and strategic, but she is known to bring unwanted attention to herself on occasions—although not as often as Kol who is more vain than herself.
When afraid she doesn't express it and becomes harsher than normal about things with rather blunt comments—more so than usual. While she comes off as uncaring about others opinions, she values the ones of those she deems worthy of that trust. When they were younger, she would selfishly run and do anything to survive; however after being so close with Marcel, she faces her fears without concern for her own life when it comes to him. Depending on a situation, she may rely on old tricks like white lies or running away, but it becomes uncommon—and never when it comes to Marcel. Some physical signs she is unnerved, when she usually isn't, show when: she becomes extra protective than normal, constantly glancing away when speaking, or running her hands through her hair. She gets annoyed at her brothers' protective tendency over her and Rebekah, and the two usually express their frustrations in angry tones no matter the timeline.
Both also hated societal norms for women as they lived through the centuries, but didn't mind them 'somewhat' as children and tended to comply when human. While Rebekah eventually adjusts to the abrupt change in dress style over her many years in the coffin, her sister never adjusts although not in a box and prefers modest clothes and flat shoes over heels—their sounds annoyed her. Eldrid's style is more comfort-based and when dressing up, outside of cosplay, she tends to wear dresses that show less than the modern dresses do but the right length for the current time; if the need arises, she prefers clothes she doesn't mind getting messy or easily replacing. Her style resembles her personal nature to want to be ready for anything that may come her way, and she deems heels going against that.
Anyone who meets her eventually can claim that she is calm, content, and still easy to anger like a mama bear. Like when Kol revealed that loving Davina made him a better person, as his prior vile nature was a coping mechanism for the loss of his humanity and witchdom before he gained the sense of love and peace from her, the same happened for his sister with witches and Marcel to tame her own coping mechanisms overtime.
As an Original Vampire-Siphoner Hybrid she has some perks her siblings don't have outside of Niklaus:
Retained Ability To Practice Magic via Siphoning: Due to her original nature as a siphoner when she was made an Original Vampire with the other Mikaelsons, she retained(as a witch-original vampire hybrid) the distinct ability to absorb or consume magic from magical objects and other supernatural beings albeit temporarily. As an original hybrid, she keeps her ability to siphon magic which allows her to cast magic as an original vampire; this means she can also siphon from her own vampirism as a limited source of power. To siphon off anything outside of the magic keeping her immortally alive as an undead, she requires physical contact, and when it is performed there is a faint-red glow. While in some instances the process of siphoning has been known to cause intense or extreme pain, other times have been otherwise painless--the reason remains unknown why to when the ability causes pain. Siphoners are capable of healing vampires from werewolf bites by siphoning the magic of the werewolf venom from their bodies. Likewise, they can siphon the magical properties of vampire blood—which can be used to prevent a human from waking up in transition after death. The ability to siphon can willingly be given up, similar to how a witch can move magic into objects such as Josette or Bonnie, Josie(Legacies) is seen doing the same with her siphoning ability by moving it into a coin(Facing Darkness is Kinda My Thing).
Spell Casting: An Original Vampire-Siphoner hybrid, after having absorbed magic from an external source or themselves, possesses the ability to cast spells like any witch. One of the defining characteristics of any witch is their ability to cast spells; a "spell" being a word, a verse or incantation, ritual action, or any combination of these to carry out a magical action. On rare occasions such actions can be performed without the use of a verbal spell. This ability allows Eldrid to change and control events through the use of incantations and more. However, the amount of power she's absorbed is finite and will eventually need to be replenished by siphoning more magic, though the frequency of which depends on the amount and strength of the magic she's absorbed. However, considering she's an Original (and El's siblings and herself are only born thanks to a fertility spell that allows Esther to bare children), she's like her own personal battery if she chooses to siphon from her vampirism. While non-Original vampire-siphoner hybrids can do the same thing, they can siphon less than an Original Heretic before facing overexertion.
Potion Brewing: The power to brew and concoct potions, remedies, and elixirs that have supernatural properties with varying effects.
Telekinesis: An Original Vampire-Siphoner hybrid, after having absorbed magic, possesses the ability to move objects and people with the mind like any witch.
Pain Infliction: An Original Vampire-Siphoner hybrid, after having absorbed magic, possesses the ability to inflict excruciating migraines or aneurysms like any witch.
Pyrokinesis: An Original Vampire-Siphoner hybrid, after having absorbed magic, possesses the ability to create and control fire like any witch.
Divination: An Original Vampire-Siphoner hybrid, after having absorbed magic, possesses the ability to divine future, past, and present events based on extrasensory perception like any witch.
Natural Day-Walking(Due to her original nature as a siphoner witch): This is an ability of hybrids and immortals to walk in sunlight and function in the day without the need for protection or fear of being lit on fire(but not dying) from the UV rays. This only applies to vampiric beings who are traditionally adverse to the Sun as a consequence of their immortality. As hybrids retain the powers of their former selves, whether be it werewolves or siphoners, they retain the ability to walk in the sunlight without the need of a daylight amulet, unlike their vampire counterparts.
Super Strength: Original vampires are considerably much stronger than immortals, Supernatural Hunters, non-Original vampires, werewolves, evolved werewolves, non-Original werewolf-vampire hybrids and humans. They are able to decapitate other species with a single chop of their bare hands, shatter windows and doors with small objects, and single-handedly tear out the hearts of younger vampires and other creatures with little to no effort. Their strength has been used to break necks and spines, and break and move heavy objects. Their impact can send anyone flying. Their strength is also enough to rival that of their own kind. While Original vampires are more powerful than werewolves in either form, transformed werewolves still rival enough of their strength to take down an Original vampire in small groups as it was shown that four of them were capable of overwhelming Rebekah (although she managed to kill half of them), while two took down Elijah (these wolves were channeling the power of their werewolf forms through enchanted kyanite stones, and Elijah was taken by surprise and briefly passed out from their venom). Vampires of 900 years or more may present a slight challenge. However, given how Originals seem to have the peak power of their condition, they currently remain the most powerful of their kind. Lucien was much stronger than any of the Originals while an Upgraded Original, and with him dead and Marcel now the only remaining Upgraded Original, he is now stronger than them physically as well, though possibly not to the extent that Lucien was. It is unknown what an Augustine Vampire's strength is compared to Original vampires, however it is suspected that Originals would still easily be able to overpower Augustine Vampires.
Super Speed: Original vampires are much faster than immortals, supernatural hunters, non-Original vampires, werewolves, evolved werewolves, non-Original werewolf-vampire hybrids and humans. They are able to stop other supernatural species in their tracks, run miles in mere minutes(if not seconds) and can easily catch up to any species of creature, supernatural or not. Their reflexes are similarly heightened. It is unknown if they grow faster with time. Lucien was shown to be incredibly fast, more so than an Original, while an Upgraded Original. They can also travel with a passenger, usually by establishing contact first with the recipient(s) and then speeding away. Interestingly, human passengers seems to be unfazed by the speed in which the vampire runs, which, due to the air friction and turbulence alone, would have otherwise ripped mere mortals to shreds. This implies that vampires can also impart some sort of mystical protection to their passengers while utilizing this power. After Bonnie Bennett accidentally fell through a collapsed floor into the tomb below, Stefan was able to use this ability to jump down, find her and bring her back up to safety without any harm. Damon Salvatore has also used this power to take people from one place to another. They can use their super-speed during a fight to quickly throw blows which could easily finish off anyone other than their own species.
Super Agility: Original vampires possess more superhuman agility, flexibility and dexterity than immortals, supernatural hunters, non-Original vampires, werewolves, evolved werewolves, non-Original werewolf-vampire hybrids and humans. They can move quickly, jump very high, climb and run incredibly fast without difficulty or exhaustion.
Super Senses: Original vampires have extremely keen senses of hearing, sight and smell that far exceed those of immortals, supernatural hunters, non-Original vampires, werewolves, evolved werewolves, non-Original werewolf-vampire hybrids and humans. Due to being created to be superior to werewolves by Dark Magic and being the progenitors of the vampire species, Original Vampires have the highest degree of super senses out of vampires. For example, they can listen to someone's heartbeat or they can also hear footsteps from a great distance away as shown by Elijah hearing Gia in Fire with Fire. Original Vampire-Witch Hybrids have the exact same super senses as normal Original vampires.
Super Durability: Original vampires can take far more trauma than supernatural hunters, non-Original vampires, werewolves, evolved werewolves, non-original werewolf-vampire hybrids and humans can, without much discomfort or injury. No Original vampire has ever been dismembered throughout the series, implying that their durability may be close to invincibility. Wood seems to be ineffective at weakening them, though being stabbed in the heart with it will often incapacitate them for several minutes until they recover. Ordinary bullets, knives and blunt objects can hurt an Original vampire as seen with Finn, Kol and Klaus. Rebekah once stated to Matt that she never feels cold. When running from Mikael, she also stated how her siblings and her ran through winter and autumn, sleet and snow. Rebekah even stated a bomb powerful enough to blow up a junk yard full of disposed cars would not be able to kill her.
Healing Factor: The injuries of Original vampires heal faster than those of supernatural hunters, non-Original vampires, werewolves, evolved werewolves, non-original werewolf-vampire hybrids and humans. Original vampires also seem to heal much more quickly when exposed to vervain or wood. They can heal/recover/regenerate from any and all injuries in a matter of seconds. Even a werewolf bite is no threat to them, it is only painful to them and will cause weakness and hallucinations as they are not wholly immune to the bite, but it wears off. Vervain-laced liquid has also been shown to weaken them, though they recover from the effects much more quickly. If they are stabbed with Papa Tunde's blade and it's removed, the healing process becomes much slower due to the dark magic within it; this applies to werewolf venom as well. Mikael still bore the scars of his attack for a day or so as he still had venom in his system. Human blood has also been known to make the healing process faster.
Immortality: Original vampires are immortal. They do not physically age and are immune to all illnesses, toxins, poisons and human diseases or physical conditions. The only physical weapon that can bring permanent death to an Original is the White Oak Stake, and the only other substance being poisons from the advanced strain of werewolf toxin contained in the bite of an Upgraded Original vampire, as well as the similar toxin from the enchanted thorns grown by The Hollow from an Upgraded Original's blood. Original Vampire-Witch Hybrids are also immortal to a similar degree as normal original vampires; they are immune to natural deaths, the negative effects of sunlight, physical aging, diseases, and most illnesses.
Enhanced Emotions: Original Vampires experience emotions more powerfully than humans. Emotions like love, joy, and happiness are intensified for vampires allowing them to live life more intensely. This ability allows the original vampires to feel emotions at their peak regardless of their age. They have been shown experiencing emotions as powerfully today as they did 1,000 years ago. Vampires, like humans, are emotional creatures and, upon the completion of their transition, the emotions they experience are magnified meaning that pain would turn into agony, sadness into depression, happiness into elation and so on. Emotions can greatly affect a witch's power—including vampire-siphoner hybrids, causing it to fluctuate at times. Like werewolves, they can use strong emotions to fuel their magic, strengthening the potency of their spells. Additionally, a witch can subconsciously block themselves through negative emotions namely fear, grief, doubt etc., preventing them from properly practicing witchcraft. These effects have been shown most notably on: Bonnie, Bree, Abby, and Davina. Presumably, siphoner witch-vampire hybrids' magic could be more crippled from the effects of fear. Most known emotions are: Love, Hope, Friendship, Respect, Fear, Anger, Hate, and Sadness.
Emotional Control: Original vampires have a limited degree of control over their own emotions. It has been stated that Emotional Control fades over time. It is unknown if the Original vampires still possess the ability to "switch off" their emotions completely. Presumably, the humanity switch is no longer accessible to an Original and while it's something a newbie vampire can do, after a couple of hundred years, older vampires just have to pretend as they're unable to turn them off.
Mind Compulsion: Original vampires can control and influence the thoughts, emotions, behavior, actions and memories of humans, non-Original vampires and non-original werewolf-vampire hybrids. They cannot however compel fellow original vampires, witches, immortals, werewolves/evolved werewolves, or Supernatural Hunters. However, Silas had the ability to compel witches as demonstrated when he did so to Qetsiyah and Bonnie. When an Original vampire dies, their compulsion wears off; this can also be achieved if they are neutralized with the White Oak Ash Daggers—this principle still applies if an Original vampire is revived by having said dagger removed later. Non-Original vampires seem to be aware that they are being compelled while under the effect while humans aren't; however, non-original vampires and humans alike are, by no means immune to it, unless they have vervain in their system or worn on their person in some fashion of jewelry. A bracelet or necklace is more risky than ingesting it, because a vampire might be able to handle the pain to rip it off.
Hybrids can be compelled by Original vampires due to their vampire side—whether they are werewolf-vampire hybrids or witch/siphon-vampire hybrids.
The ability of compulsion seems to be tied to the user's spiritual essence since Klaus was able to use it while inhabiting the body of Alaric—a human.
Linked Sirelines: As an Original vampire with a long line of enemies, she has some form of protection once word spreads that anyone in her sireline will die along with her; if she were to permanently die to a White Oak Stake, or by other means, everyone in her bloodline would die within a few hours. This was a powerful and sophisticated link added to the immortality spell by Esther as a method of further protecting her children.
Sire Bond: Although rare among them, Sire Bonds can be formed when a human is turned with the blood of the vampire whom they had strong human feelings for. The Sired complies with the direct and indirect orders of their Sire in order to show their loyalty, but it doesn't affect how they feel about their sire or anything else. The bond only affects how they act, nothing more. This happens to not be as rare with vampire-werewolf hybrids; however with newly-turned vampire-witch hybrids the same does not apply thanks to their siphon nature. Although it can be presumed that an Original Heretic like Eldrid can still end up with someone sired to her in the right cases, long as they weren't a siphon when turned.
Telepathy: Original vampires have the ability to enter the minds of others as long as theirs is stronger than them although, as Original vampires, they have one of the strongest minds in the world. Normally, this ability works in a tactile fashion and the vampire requires physical contact in order for it to work successfully. However, Elijah has been shown to mentally communicate with others from a short distance sending distress calls and mental images. Klaus and Elijah have also been shown sharing their memories with others.
Dream Manipulation: Original vampires can control dreams and subconscious. They can produce and modify dreams, bestow nightmares or lucid dreaming. Other effects of this ability is the ability to distort perceptions of reality and being able to trap someone in their dreams.
Illusions: Original vampires have the power to trick the minds of others into seeing/feeling things that aren't actually happening. Elijah and Klaus have both shown the ability to project images into the minds of others.
True Face: An Original vampire's true face is the appearance they are hiding under their normal human face. When an Original vampire's true face is revealed, the sclera of their eyes turns blood-red, dark veins appear under their eyes as the blood pumps forcefully through them, and their canine teeth extend into razor-sharp fangs. An Original vampire's true face can be revealed whenever they wish, but it will appear against their will whenever they are aroused by the scent of blood, or are feeling intense emotions such as anger, lust, sadness, etc. An Original vampire's fangs are extremely sharp which gives them the ability to tear into almost any substance (including and especially flesh) and tear off limbs. With the fangs come the darkened veins under the eyes as well.
As an Original Vampire-Siphoner Hybrid she has some weaknesses that are mostly similar to her Original Vampire and Siphoner counterparts:
Lack of Own Magic/Siphoning Her Vampirism: She was born a Siphoner and lacks her own magic; she has to take it from other things including her vampirism once turned. Though non-Original vampirism can be a source of power for siphoners to siphon from, it is finite and can be siphoned to the point of physical issues and even death. This was first realized in Postcards from the Edge, when Caroline began to desiccate from her supernatural pregnancy whereas in One Way or Another, Valerie suffered physical side-effects, such as fatigue and a nose bleed, from siphoning from herself in order to execute a Gemini spell by herself. Finally, this was exemplified when Kai siphoned Damon up until he died in It's Been a Hell of a Ride. In Black Hole Sun, Kai states that if he consumed all of Bonnie's magic, he was just going to end up killing her, though it remains to be seen if it was his ability that would kill her, or other witches, or himself. Siphoning has some limits and some magic cannot be siphoned. I'd assume there'd be a higher tolerance for an Original Vampire-Siphoner Hybrid like Eldrid using these means, but there would still be limits. Some examples of limitations are: Valerie trying to siphon the curse mark in I Would for You and failing, those who have taken/ingested the cure for vampirism cannot be siphoned, and possibly by extension doppelgängers cannot be siphoned. It is unknown whether or not a siphoner could siphon the magic of Original vampires in order to kill them. It is, however, unlikely, as suggested by Nora in Days of Future Past that they have limits on how much they can siphon. Nora's statements were however in regards to Mary Louise attempting to siphon the magic of the Phoenix Stone and that it would kill her as a result. Whether it was the overwhelming amount of magic, Mary Louise's terminal illness from the magic suppression pills, the resulting explosion, or a combination thereof that killed Nora and Mary Louise, remains inconclusive. Additionally, there has been no attempt to siphon from an Original vampire. Siphoning cannot reverse the effects of Triad's scientifically weaponized Malivore bullets. The bullets are capable of breaking the skin of any supernatural being causing the wound to fester and infect them to the point where it disintegrates them from the inside out.
Sunlight: As an Original Vampire-Siphoner hybrid, she naturally can walk in sunlight without burning like the other Mikaelsons. Excluding Niklaus when he unlocks his hybrid nature.
Oxygen Dependent: Contrary to popular belief, Original witch-vampire hybrids have beating hearts and they cannot function without oxygen. They will, however, be forced to revive after suffocation or oxygen deprivation but will only die again if the circumstances of their revival are less than favorable.
Desiccation: If an Original Vampire is completely drained of blood or their heart stops, this will cause them to desiccate like other vampires would—but they merely lose most of their strength and any ability to move. Not too long after, the body will appear like a corpse and can only resume functionality once they feed on blood. Witches can also cast a spell to cause this effect as well.
Invitation: Vampires can't enter a home without an invitation by the owner if it's under a human's name; this can be granted long-distance and by someone who hasn't personally lived in the home for years. Once this process is done, they can enter the home anytime they wish until the deed changes. If they were to enter without being invited in, they will become disoriented and start to suffocate upon recovery. If the deed changes while they are inside as well, all vampires including Originals, will have the same results and be pulled from the house against their will.
Witchcraft: Witches can perform a wide range of spells that can cause a flay of effects upon an Original vampires. For example, there is a spell that can be used to effect supernatural hearing with the use of burning sage. A witch with enough power can dangerously affect and even kill a being as powerful as an Original vampire. Witches, such as Bonnie and Davina, empowered by extremely potent sources of magic (the violent deaths of a hundred witches and the power of the Harvest, respectively) were able to cripple Klaus, bringing him close to death. Specifically, Bonnie would have succeeded in killing Klaus had Elijah not saved him. Witches have also created dark objects that also have a variety of effects that are capable of harming Original vampires, such as Papa Tunde's Blade, Cursed Stakes and many other objects(like the Gilbert Device). Siphoners can also siphon magic from a vampire or Original to fuel their spells. Most witches use magic to: cause agonizing pain by inducing aneurysms in their brain or muscle spasms, telekinetically ripping out their hearts or snapping their necks, magically increasing their hunger for blood to unbearable levels, setting them ablaze with a single thought(not that an Original would die to this), and desiccating them to the point of mummification. She, as an Original Heretic, retains her ability to siphon magic from magical artifacts, spells, and her own vampirism as a power source for her witchcraft; this means she can perform these feats on others and cast spells to appear as a normal witch.
Physical Trauma: While any physical trauma can slow an Original down, minor ones such as cuts and bruises, are essentially ineffective due to the healing factor of an Original vampire. More significant injuries along the lines of gunshots, stab wounds, broken bones, and organ damage can incapacitate one due to the combination of pain and lack of their bodies proper function. However, the most effective way to neutralize an Original is to inflict injuries normally fatal to a human such as breaking their neck. However, this is temporarily as they will completely heal in a short amount of time.
Vervain: Vervain prevents Original vampires being able to compel anyone who's ingested or wearing it. Plants and other forms of vervain will also burn them upon contact, but they will heal very quickly if not for prolonged exposure.
Once again, the only way to resist compulsion is the victim being on vervain; common practices for self-defense against compulsion are but are not limited to: wearing a pendant or bracelet which contains vervain, drinking tea laced with the herb dubbed as vervain tea, and ingesting straight vervain. In spite of this, Silas was able to entrance Caroline with an advanced form of the ability. Non-original vampires can only compel humans; vampires who ingest vervain(although it's painful) can still compel others without the vervain nullifying the effects. Some humans train themselves to be immune to compulsion from, at least non-original vampires, like Bill Forbes(Disturbing Behavior) or Atticus Shane(After School Special).
Mind Compulsion: While this ability is at its strongest for an Original vampire or their hybrid counterparts, there are some things that can counter it outside of vervain.
When someone is compelled, a new compulsion can't override a previous one typically; but it is shown compulsion can be overridden by someone who has a better diet(if one is on animals like Stefan was) or if they are older/more powerful than the other person who compelled said victim. If a human who has been compelled in the past dies and is in transition to become a vampire, they will remember everything they were compelled to do or not recall before.
When a vampire who has taken the Cure and becomes human again, they can also remember everything they were once compelled to do or forget by an Original Vampire; anyone who was compelled by a vampire who has taken the cure will recall everything they were compelled to do or forget, humans included as proven with Katherine in the fifth season of TVD.
Compulsion can be stripped away by the Magic Purification Spell; a witch can also strip away compulsion placed on a vampire or human, though the process is proven to be painful and can be slow depending on how much or how deep the compulsion is rooted into the victim. A siphoner(or dare I say siphoner-vampire hybrid) is able to remove compulsion by siphoning the magic of the compulsion allowing the person compelled to be free from it.
Immortals, who are displayed as the most mentally adept on both shows, can appear as anyone and can compel anyone without eye contact and even if the target is on vervain; they can also compel a mass of people at once and inflict immense mental pain on targets—such as when Silas convinced werewolf-original vampire hybrid Klaus that he was stabbed by the White Oak Stake. What's this mean? El, even as an Original, can also be affected by this as a siphoner-vampire hybrid.
Werewolf Venom: While werewolf venom can't kill Original vampires, it greatly weakens and incapitates them and causes them to experience hallucinations based on their memories. The effects are temporary and only last for a few hours. Mikael, however, has overcome pain from the venom and fought through the effects rather than suffer and hallucinate given his mental fortitude. (The Hallucinations include any of these: significant moments from one's past, significant people to them and their livelihood, or specific actions the vampire feels guilt or shame over.) However Original Vampire-Siphoner hybrids are able to siphon the magic from the venom which disables its' effects.
Advanced Werewolf Venom: Lucien Castle invents an advanced strain of venom derived from the seven werewolf bloodlines with no known cure. The venom is infused in the bite of an Upgraded Original Vampire. It is fatal to Original vampires in a manner similar to that of a werewolf or hybrid bite on regular non-Original vampires, although working twice as fast and more painfully. The strength of this kind of bite is so strong that Klaus' or Hope's blood won't cure it.
Wood: A wooden stake through the heart will desiccate an Original vampire and temporarily "kill" them. However, wood from the White Oak Tree can permanently destroy an Original vampire. Once staked with this wood, the stake will ignite in flames and ingulf the body of the Original, rendering both into ash.
White Oak Ash Daggers: A collection of enchanted silver daggers dipped in the ash of the white oak tree will neutralize an Original vampire when stabbed through the heart. If the dagger is removed, it must be dipped again in White Oak Ash to re-neutralize the Original vampire. Otherwise, it will have no effect and the Original vampire awakens within a few hours.
Animal Blood: This is only somewhat satisfying to a vampire's hunger and at sustaining their undead life; this makes them considerably weaker than they would be on the human blood diet. In comparison their physical abilities are inferior to a vampire consuming human blood, and they heal much slower. Their compulsion is also less effective than their counterpart.
Broken Neck: This does not kill her but will render her in a death-like state for a short amounts of time for herself, but this depends on diet and age of the person in question. It is severely difficult to commit this feat considering she's a millennia-old Original.
The Cure: If she were to take the cure, she would revert to being mortal again and vampire blood wouldn't be any use to healing her among other things.
Decapitation: The removal of a vampire's head will result in instant and permanent death; however, as an original she can't be decapitated.
Fire: All non-Original vampires are highly flammable and sensitive to fire and can burn and die from the flames if they don't extinguish them in time. As an Original, she is immune to this; she will light on fire but not die.
Heart Extraction: If a vampire's heart was removed, they'd die permanently. Once again as an Original, she is immune. Only fellow Original vampires such as her siblings can do this at any capacity and only when she's severely weakened by magic at that. And even so, her heart would just allegedly grow back according to commentary from Rebekah herself.
Specific Frequencies: Certain frequencies such as the one emitted from the Gilbert Device can cause extreme pain to creatures with super hearing such as Vampires and Werewolves. These frequencies can also be produced by magic as shown when Freya incapacitated Aiden with it. However it is worth noting that older vampires might be able to withhold against this better as with the witch aneurysms since they have more experience like Katherine did when meeting Bonnie(The Return).
Distraction: Denying an Original Vampire-Siphoner hybrid from concentrating or giving full attention to their spells may render them ineffective.
Emotions: An Original Vampire-Siphoner hybrid's magic is subject to the influence of their emotional state and may fluctuate according to them when untrained. According to Sheila Bennett, strong emotions such as worry and anger can fuel a witch's power while emotions such as fear may prevent a witch from properly accessing their powers. This may be made more intense due to a vampire's heightened emotions. However with how much training Eldrid has undergone over her millennia, this does not limit her as much as mortal witches of any age.
Herbs: Ingestion of certain herbs can cause loss of consciousness and prevent them from using magic for an undetermined amount of time. The Lobelia flower prevents concentration and the practice of magic and by witches can be used to weaken an Original Vampire-Siphoner hybrid as one would weaken a vampire with vervain. Seeing as Eldrid has a millennia on her shoulders and is quite experienced, plus additionally an Original Vampire, she'd only be out of focus for minutes at best; and it would prove difficult to knock her out.
Huntress' Blood: Consumption of a supernatural huntress' blood will cause an Original Vampire-Siphoner hybrid to lose their ability to use magic. Prolonged exposure poisons them, leading them to get sick. When scabs begin to appear on their body, it eventually leads to death; however it is unknown if this would kill an Original Vampire-Siphoner hybrid. According to Alex and Rayna Cruz, Rayna's blood can't be reversed for anything and all the attempts to make a cure were unsuccessful.
Physical Contact: Original Vampire-Siphoner hybrids need physical contact with their source in order to siphon from them when siphoning things that aren't their vampirism.
Siren-Level or Immortal-Level Telepathy: As Sirens and Immortals have advanced proficiency in this ability, which allows one to enter the minds of others, they can use it against Original Vampires. Since non-original vampires are able to provide some resistance to the Siren's ability, at least, to accessing their memories and psychic poking(but not from their control), it can be assumed an Original vampire would have higher resistance and more mental resolve.
Immortals (like Silas) possess one of the most advanced forms of mind control as their telepathy allows them to control, project and change the decisions and thoughts of other with only the use of the user's own mind. Though this can be weakened if blood is not consumed or the said immortal has not exercised their mental prowess. This was proven to be able to work on werewolf-original vampire hybrid Klaus—which means that Original vampires are also subjectable to this.
Sirens are yet another species that is capable of this form of telepathy and heavily rely on it just as much as Immortals. Their abilities allow them to enter the mind of another person in order to read their thoughts, to access and even change their memories, which can ultimately alter the victim's state of conscious and their personality. Furthermore, the victims of the siren are conscious of this interaction (unlike an Immortal's mind control) which creates a psychic rapport between them. This allows them to maintain a constant presence from within, such that should someone stray too far from a siren, they will be struck with psychic pain and suffer hemorrhages. Unlike Immortals, however, the Siren's abilities may have some limits; for example, being able to only control a few victims.
Similar to witches with their pain infliction spells, Immortals are able to inflict illusory psychic pain on their victims, as shown when Silas attacked Klaus and Caroline with it. By extension of this power, Silas was also able to make Bonnie think she was suffocating to death by inflicting the same kind of illusory pain. Sirens are also capable of this, as Sybil was able to cause immense psychic pain that was so strong her victim manifested adverse physical symptoms such as nose bleeds and vomiting blood.
Doppelgänger Blood Magic: If blood from the last pair of doppelgängers is used in the Magic Purification Spell, all hybrids created with non-Traditional magic will have their powers stripped from them little by little. If the hybrid is vampire based, they will be brought back to the last stage of their werewolf or siphon witch life which is death. They will then relive the way they died when they went into transition to the point where they die again. It is assumed that a witch-werewolf hybrid will revert to their state prior to triggering their curse. Since Kai absorbs the magic of the magic purification spell that once surrounded Mystic Falls, this is no longer a concern for a weakness at some point in the roleplay.
Enchanted Thorns: Magically infused thorns created by the Hollow, if that happens in the roleplay, that were grown in the ground laced with Marcel's blood who originally becomes an Upgraded Original Vampire during the plot. A single scratch from these thorns will kill an Original; as of Phantomesque, the rosebush and thorns would've all been destroyed.

Crush Option Explained: I steal your crush's former interest.
We discuss Eldrid's crush in PMs, but I can take the person left behind when you pick your crush. In the case your crush didn't end up with someone, we can figure out who you feel comfortable RPing as for my crush when they're around.
Depending on your OC, I might be okay with OC x OC as well if they seem like they'd fit well together.
Eldrid is into both genders, but she does prefer girls like many of my other characters; while I do keep this OC open to any character long as I approve in PMs, I do prefer girl characters like: Caroline Forbes, Hayley Marshall, Davina Claire, Keelin, Rose-Marie, Lexi Branson, etc.
She historically has fallen for one redheaded witch and one redheaded vampire, and she used to sleep around before meeting Juliana; so she has a tendency to fall for redheads, but she'd possibly crush on others outside her typical pattern. She certainly has slept with more than redheads. She's like Kol and has interest in: feisty, sharp tongued, not easily charmed people, and fighters with spirit. Bonus points if they're a witch.
Their history and if the two know each other will also be discussed at that time; they might due to her being an Original.
She could temporarily date Genevieve, once she's revived until she attempts to murder Eldrid's niece, depending on who we choose as crush.
Examples:
If Your OC likes Elijah, my OC might fall for Katherine or Hayley.
If Your OC likes Niklaus, Eldrid might fall for Caroline then Camille.
If Your OC likes Kol, Eldrid might fall for Davina.
If Your OC likes Freya, Eldrid might fall for Keelin.
Rejected As Crush Options:
Bonnie Bennett (Her Descendant)
Any Mikaelsons (Siblings)
Marcel Gerard (Adoptive Son)
Elena Gilbert (Salvatore Brothers Are Warring For Her As Is)
Matt Donovan (Would Hate Eldrid)
Relationship with Crush is decided in PMs when deciding Eldrid's crush.
Note: We discuss where Your OC lands and other details in PMs.

More Details Are Super Fun:
When she was young, and to this day, she would look to the skies and favor the birds over most creatures; they became an object of fascination and earned her the nickname 'Little Bird' from Niklaus.
When her father would blame Niklaus for Henrik's death, Rebekah and herself never felt that way.
Despite being of powerful Bennett and Mikaelson witchy bloodlines, she was born a siphon due to her genetics. Her father's siphon gene passed down to her as the dominant trait. While the Gemini Coven prominently involves siphons and is the only known coven to produce any on a normal basis, it seems earlier in the Bennett bloodline that Eldrid's biological father upset the ancestors and being a siphon was his punishment. Seeing as she is the last one in her father's bloodline and unable to have kids due to being undead, she is the end of the Bennett bloodline on his end—meaning no one else who is a Bennett displays being a siphon. It's worth noting that she never met him personally to understand who he was as a person.
Not that she can have kids, but if it did happen: the kid would be a firstborn Mikaelson, and the siphoner trait would end at Eldrid still.
She suffered the Hunter's Curse with Niklaus for fifty-two years; he considered daggering her so she wouldn't suffer with him, but never did it in hopes they could find a solution to end some of the worst years they lived. And to find a solution, he needed his witchy sister not trapped with a dagger in her chest. Plus the fact they had each other was a way to cope for them both. Naturally as there was no White Oak around, there was no evident way for them to permanently die then, so they spent those five decades in agony while El also attempted to focus on any sort of magical cure all; however, as a witch with disrupted focus and mental anguish, none of her spells were as powerful as they could've been if she wasn't under the curse along with Niklaus.
She compelled her way past gender norms many times during her life but the most during her battles in Japan.
She was a samurai and known for her mercilessness against enemies—on the field and in other parts of her life.
She isn't a ripper, but Kol and Herself have killed whole villages before.
Her favorite siblings are Kol, Rebekah, Elijah, and eventually Freya. She was also close with Henrik predating his death.
Her name for this timeframe Taranee Hale was inspired by her friend Gloria as they kept in touch.
Historically, she's been daggered four times; it totals to 267 years laying in a coffin before the events of The Vampire Diaries. The first time from 1359 to 1491 which lasted 132 years; the second time from 1702 to 1821 which totals to 119 years, and the third time from 1887 to 1901 which was fourteen years. The fourth time was upon her request and lasted two years spanning from 1916 to 1918 before she joined Marcellus in World War I. All four times Niklaus was the one to shove the dagger in her heart.
One of her created dark objects was the Invincibility Bracelet which allows the user to be protected from supernatural harm much like the Gilbert Ring, but it didn't resurrect someone only defended them; this means that any witch who wore it would be protected from supernatural harm such as: their heart being ripped out, neck snapping, limbs being torn off, or magic spells. Basically this item allows durability similar to an Original but slightly weaker.
Within the roleplay universe, the real author of the Carmilla novella is Eldrid herself. She compelled Irish author Sheridan Le Fanu to take credit, so Niklaus never knew that Eldrid found a lover during her prior absence in the 19th century. The main reason she wrote it at all is to throw her feelings into another character's life and to cope with leaving behind Juliana Fisher. This does mean that Laura was inspired heavily by Julia, and Carmilla is Eldrid metaphorically.
She found anime on accident while watching the news or old television shows.
She writes anime fanfiction in her free time; she does it under the guise @AsamiHere when writing sites begin to exist. When social media becomes prominent, she signs up as @HaleOThere.
Her ringtone is Avril Lavigne or Eminem music for most people, but her ringtone for Niklaus is different and anything she knows pisses him off.
It was so commonly misbelieved that Kol and herself were twins due to their similarities in tendency and their clearly close bond(despite insults at one another) that the two of them learned to speak at the same time to creep enemies out on purpose. In the last nearly half a millennia, they have taken on the title 'The Original Twins' due to this and like to fool anyone they can into believing it.
While Elijah, Niklaus, & Rebekah made their own pact; Finn, Eldrid, & Kol made their own similar kind of pact not long after. The difference is that El didn't waste any time making her promise with Finn and Kol extend to her other siblings.
Over her many centuries, she'd wear what was needed for women of the time, but Eldrid would steal any of her brothers' tunics and trousers to train and/or get a break from the clothing expected of her. While that isn't in her imagery of clothing, it will be mentioned in roleplay and teased at often. This was one of the many things leading to Rebekah's comment about her being more 'brotherly'. This turns into a tendency to steal clothes from her brothers to this day when around them.
She and Kol had a falling out right before he was daggered the final time before The Vampire Diaries.
She and Rebekah are not on speaking terms at the start of The Vampire Diaries, as she killed her former lover Genevieve. This does play a role in Eldrid not speaking to her other siblings as well for a near century, although they remain unaware of who killed Genevieve. This
