Early History
Hope of Metamoor was born the only child to her two loving parents on Metamoor, who were nobles through her father, and she spent her first three years of life under her parents gentle and kind ways. When the emotion fairy was around three and a half, her home planet underwent some dark changes that meant her parents and herself went into hiding with the Queen's Rebellion—as they were aligned with the current ruler and not the one taking over with malicious intent. Her parents were leaders of the resistance and once they saw how close the new King's Army was, the two decided to send their daughter to Faragonda who's her maternal grandmother—using the paternal family heirloom one final time. Before they did so and after a portal was opened, her father passed on the family heirloom by placing it around her neck, albeit sooner than planned, and told the young girl to never take it off. Following the passing of the special item, they hugged her and sent her through a portal to her maternal grandmother. From then on out, she lived at Alfea.
Not three days later, the unfortunate news spread all over Magix about Metamoor's Rebellion leaders being dead—orphaning the untrained emotion fairy. She never forgot the fear she felt from her parents the day she was sent to her Gran Gran. Her grandmother decided against telling the young child, but the young girl felt her magic link to the special heirloom. As an emotion fairy, this meant the heart showed her what made Gran Gran solemn, and she saw the moment Faragonda found out her daughter had died. Remembering what death felt like from the moment her family had to hide from the 'bad people', she was one of the children to understand what it meant despite being only four. Alfea's headmistress found out from the small child that she knew, and they both cried together.
From that moment on Hope, who never forgot the moments of war or blissful moments before darkness took Metamoor, did everything she could to learn. Knowledge was power according to both her parents, so she fell in love with books and it became her favored pass time. Over her childhood, she was homeschooled by the various teachers in their free period by their own volition. Between Faragonda, Griselda, Saladin, and Codatorta, she grew up loved dearly and had her own room in Alfea. Both Griselda and Codatorta taught her self-defense with both magic and specialist skills when from the time she was nine and on. Along with self-defense, Griselda was the one to keep her in line at times when it was needed--but she was an overall good kid who struggled with her emotions; Faragonda always suspected it was due to what she saw during an early age and attributed to her emotion abilities.
She met Jared when he visited Magix when he was ten when she was in town for a sweet treat with her Gran Gran. The two were both awkward little kids who cliqued over their quietness, and their friendship grew as his parents and Faragonda arranged playdates for them. Until she met the Winx, her only two friends her age were Jared and Helia—who she met when she was watched by Saladin. While she remembers her parents and recollections of memories, she doesn't remember any tips about her emotion powers; since emotion fairies have a low chance of being born on any planet, she has a hard time finding someone to teach her the specific skill set. Whether she was four or a teenager, if no one can find her, she's at the closest library hidden among books.

Hope has the power of emotions, which makes her an empath by nature. She constantly has headphones on to drown them out. Some think she is rude, but she is kind once you get to know her. She struggles with socialization and making friends since anyone she met her age didn't seem to connect with her. Most saw her as awkward when she would socialize or would think she was a know-it-all with her nose in books or documentaries. Her tendency to psycho-analyze doesn't help her cause, her want for deep discussion, or to analyze everything. She doesn't take gossip to heart though, and is always curious and learning new things. She only cares what people think if she is close with or trusts them. Once you know her, she is quite dramatic/energetic and talkative in a fun way. She is practical with some creativeness to her, but will easily overwork herself when it isn't necessary. She's also known to be: stubborn, inspiring and motivational, compassionate, protective, curious, always learning, addicted to books (total bookworm), quiet, disconnected or too calm in some moments, loyal, honest, hardworking into overworking with herself, practical, a perfectionist, and studious.
