Work Experience
Work Experience
I'm not going to lie, I never thought that I would have experience in teaching. At first, I started as a volunteer assistant. I would make copies, substitute, help younger students with their work. Until, I was offered as a teacher position. Of course, I was incredibly nervous on my first day of teaching. However, it went better than I expected. Kids were excited to have a younger age teacher, which I took it as a compliment. Though the learning content was not difficult, coming up with weekly lesson plans was something that I have never done before. With time, the process got easier and I started getting more creative with the lessons. Later on did I realize the benefits of having such opportunity. I have gained classroom discipline, public speaking, presentation skills, management and leaderships skills.
As a data analyst, I was able to learn techniques and unique concepts about this experience. I was able to learn and analyze data on the Census and Survey Processing System (CSPro) for entering, editing and disseminating census and survey data. I was able to learn the importance of critical thinking and problem solving. My experiences will help me have the opportunity to demonstrate and further develop transferable skills.
At F.A.C.E, I was able to coordinate and partner with other health care professionals by giving support to patients to remain and live successfully in their own homes. Working here has helped me gain confidence by giving me the chance to try something new and build a sense of achievement. During this experience, I was able to learn and appreciate the value of life. This position allowed me to have a few skills in direct patient care. Connecting with others and the making an impact one someone's life is more than I can ask for.
