Concerning School Library and Information Technology Programs.
This bill has been reintroduced and will be amended from the 2023 session and includes the following:
Provides grants to districts to increase teacher librarians in schools.
Requires districts to maintain a school library program
Identifies media and information literacy as areas of TL expertise for ongoing student and staff learning support

Seeks to standardize and require all districts to have challenge/reconsideration policies for curriculum and instructional support materials, including library books.
