The OUESD Tech Adventures Challenge has three levels: Explorer (for staff to explore and learn), Conqueror (for staff to share with a colleague, student, or parent), and Master Guide (for staff to integrate the tool into the curriculum and teach the students how to create using the tools). The grand prize is learning! But other goodies include bragging rights, digital badges, physical badges/buttons to wear on their school lanyard, and other low/no cost prizes. It's very collaborative- staff can also get XTra Bonus points by commenting on other posts and helping their colleagues "jump on the Adventure Trail" too!.
I presented about this at the SF Bridge 2 Tech Symposium and created a demo class for that day (it's an exact copy of what we use in our district, except without the teachers' names, posts, etc.). https://goo.gl/PmDg4t
It's a combination of ideas from several workshops I attended and people I spoke with (with big inspiration from the amazing Brandi Miller) as well as my own. Please check it out and let me know what you think, I'm always looking for ways to improve it!
