K-pop Enhypen is a South Korean boy band formed by Belift Lab. Formerly a joint venture between CJ ENM and Hybe Corporation, the group was formed through the 2020 survival competition show I-Land. The group consists of seven members: Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon, and Ni-Ki. They debuted on November 30, 2020, ENHYPEN is the first boyband created by BELIFT LAB. They are the finalists of global music competition show ‘I-LAND,’ which finished airing in September 2020. The members have already shown infinite possibilities and growth not only as individuals, but also as a team. Similar to the ‘hyphen (-)’ that connects one word to another, ENHYPEN means that seven different boys connect to discover one another and grow together. It also indicates their ambitious plan to connect people and the world through their music.
The official fan club name is "ENGENE".❤️
The fandom's name is a combination of the "EN" from "ENHYPEN" and the word "GENE", which means genes, with two cool meanings. One is that "fans are the engine that makes them grow and move forward", and the other is that "fans are their genes, sharing the same DNA, allowing them to connect, discover and grow together."
