Activities to remind you of the lesson...

Keep Out!

Using scrap paper, create Keep Out signs. Post them around the house in different rooms without your child seeing where they are. Then go on a hunt together to find the Keep Out signs. Each time your child finds a sign, allow them to tear the sign in half. Talk about why there’s no need to keep the sign anymore. When Jesus died, he gave us a way to be with God again! Just like our paper signs, the curtain in the temple tore the day Jesus died because people no longer have to keep out!

Romans 5:8 Cross

Practice saying Romans 5:8 together as a family. Talk about how thankful we are that God didn’t wait for us to stop sinning before he rescued us! Because that never would have happened! Let your child decorate their cross however they choose and help them hang it in a place they will see it regularly!
