God's Good Creation

Know that the LORD, he is God! It is He who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Psalm 100:3

Today we talked about the Garden—God’s GOOD creation and read through page 6 in The Garden, The Curtain, and the Cross. We discussed all the things God made from Genesis 1 in the Bible. This was the beautiful Garden God lived with Adam and Eve in.

Talk About It...

Discuss all the things God made. Give each person in your family a chance to share their favorite parts of creation. What did God create that feels the most creative to you? Or the most useful? Everything God created was good!

As a family, thank God for his good creation. Let each person say something they are thankful for during the prayer.

Activities to remind you of the Lesson...

Creation Pizza Pie Game

Play the Pizza Pie game as a family. Make a circle on a piece of paper with 8 slices. Next, choose words representing creation or the garden. Draw a line for each letter of the word and then let family members take turns guessing letters. If anyone guesses a letter that is not in the word, color in one of the slices of pizza. If the pizza gets filled in, the game is over. See if anyone can stump the rest of the family! If you were Adam or Eve, what do you think your favorite part of the Garden would be? Take turns letting each family member have a turn choosing the word.

God’s Good Creation

Read Genesis 1 out loud as a family. After you read each day of creation, pause to color in the same day on the coloring page. What did God say about His creation? Talk about why it is important that everything God created was good.
