In Technical Theater class, we will discuss scenery, lighting, properties, costuming and sound. These five areas come together to create a tone for a production and communicate to the audience a sense of when and where the production is taking place. We will further explore the areas of scenery, properties and costuming within the class.
This class is a Wednesday only class taught with Ms. Hendershott. You can find her teacher website here.
In this section of the class, we will explore the world of set design and make scale models of set.
When we discuss theater properties, students will learn how they add more depth to a production. We will then make some of the properties for our school musical.
We will approach learning costuming by exploring our favorite fairytales. Costumes can add a visual impact and the actor need not even speak.
