Research Interests

Supply chain management, logistics, large-scale optimization techniques, multi-objective optimization, decision-making in public and non-profit systems.

My research interest lies in the application of Operations Research to socially relevant problems. While my primary research focus has been on the emergency preparedness and response network designing problems under various settings, I am also exploring some socially relevant real-world problems in the public and non-profit sectors. On the methodological side, I am interested in multi-objective optimization, large-scale optimization, stochastic programming, and robust optimization. Some of my ongoing research projects include:

    • Multi-period emergency evacuation model considering social costs

    • Robust emergency response network design for Rail HAZMAT transportation

    • Food insecurity related models
