I was born and brought up in Kolkata (India).

My schooling was at Baranagar Ramakrishna Mission Ashram High School (class I-X) and B. T. Road Govt. Sponsored Higher Secondary School (XI-XII).

I did B.E. in Production Engineering from Jadavpur University and M. Tech. in Industrial Engineering from IIT Kharagpur.

I worked as a Java developer for about four years at three software companies, before taking the long Ph. D. route to Texas A& M University.

I like traveling, nature photography, cartooning and creative writing in Bengali - for children. I draw inspiration from the creations of the two Bengali legends - Ray and Tagore...
