Academic Writing Workshop
To enhance students’ readiness for final examinations, the Department of English organizes a yearly review of internal exam papers under the guidance of Dilip Barad Sir, with the support of Prakruti Ma’am and Megha Ma’am. This practice enables students to identify recurring errors, improve their writing techniques, and develop a more systematic approach to answering questions. By reflecting on their own responses, learners deepen their understanding of key concepts and learn to articulate their ideas with greater clarity and precision.
In addition to this review process, the department conducts a workshop titled “Essay Type Answer Analysis” aimed at strengthening students’ academic writing skills. The workshop focuses on essential aspects of essay writing, including argument development, logical coherence, and clarity of expression. Through detailed discussions and constructive feedback, students are guided in refining their writing style and in producing well-organized, analytical answers for examinations.
Digital Skilling
In today’s academic environment, technology plays a central role, providing students with access to a wide variety of applications and online platforms that aid learning as well as skill development. Recognizing the increasing importance of digital literacy, a Digital Skilling Workshop was organized for first-year students to familiarize them with relevant and emerging technological tools. The aim was to encourage students to explore these resources and integrate them effectively into their academic work and creative pursuits.
The workshop was conducted by senior students under the guidance of the ICT Committee, offering a hands-on learning experience with multiple digital platforms designed to enhance research skills, efficiency, and communication. Participants were introduced to tools for organized note-making, data management, presentation design, and digital content creation, allowing them to gain practical exposure. The interactive nature of the session created an engaging environment where students could actively participate, ask questions, and experiment with different features. By the end of the workshop, students had gained a clearer perspective on how to use technology meaningfully to improve both their academic performance and future professional competencies.
