I approach a painting as if it were a form of cultivation, as an adaptive living system and a place of inhabitation held open as much for its eventual audience as it was for me, in its generation.
This field of mutual dwelling within the continuous fabric of nature holds a vital sense of being here that might be given shape, and which feels particularly important now in this time of coronavirus.
