Due September 4 and 11 - 12-minute conference-style presentation on the journal article of your choice. Please submit the presentation file (PDF) via Google Forms by September 4.
Due September 18 - Advisor and Thesis Topic Information Sheet - Please fill in the form, get it signed by your thesis advisor, and upload a scanned copy along with a paragraph about your thesis to Blackboard.

Homework
Due October 30 - conference poster and 150-word abstract. Both need to be submitted via Google Forms. In addition, please prepare a 3-5 minute poster presentation for class. You must print the conference poster to present in class. Please see the tips for printing the poster in the lecture.

October 2 - Writing the Thesis Proposal (On campus)
Homework due November 6: Extended abstract for thesis proposal (2,000-2,500 words).
Homework due November 11: Prepare 20-minute thesis proposal defense to be presented on November 14. The format will be a 20-minute presentation followed by a 5-minute discussant and 5 minutes of questions and answers from the audience.
