URBAN AIR POLLUTION IN DHAKA:INTEGRATED MODELLING TO SUPPORT SUSTAINABLE INFRASTRUCTURE AND TRANSPORT PLANNING IN DHAKA
Key Role
Developed and managed geospatial databases and field data collection systems, including Google Forms, ward-level geocoding, road network preparation, blue/green space extraction, flyover digitization, and project area gridding.
Conducted GIS-based spatial analysis and sampling design, including representative sample location selection, spatial data processing, mapping, and visualization using GIS and Google Earth Pro.
Designed interactive monitoring dashboards for enumerator performance and sample location distribution to support real-time project monitoring and data-driven decision-making.
Coordinated and monitored field operations, maintaining communication with field teams and tracking sample locations through Google My Maps to ensure accurate and timely data collection.
Developed species distribution models using MaxEnt by integrating occurrence data with environmental predictors to identify potential habitat suitability zones.
Conduct GIS-based spatial analysis and environmental modelling to support watershed assessment, flood risk mapping, and ecosystem monitoring projects.
Process satellite imagery (Sentinel, Landsat) for land-use/land-cover mapping, flood extent analysis, and environmental change detection using ArcGIS, QGIS, and Google Earth Engine.

Project: Feasibility Study for Water Resources Management in the Kirtankhola-Shugandhya-Bishkhali River System.
Key Responsibilities:
Digitized the 600+ km Road network, 400+ km River network, and 0.1M ponds using WordlVirew 3.0 and Google portable base map with the support of ArcMap 10.8 and Google EarthPro.
Digitized and validated the LULC for 1000 + km polders area of Southern Bangladesh (Barguna District).
Project: Delineation of the Enumerator Area for the Population Census 2021, Bangladesh, funded by the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS)
Key Responsibilities:
Contributed to Bangladesh's first-ever digital census (BBS 02 Project).
Extract the GIS dataset of roads, settlements, water bodies, and landmarks for the smallest area unit enumeration area for Bangladesh.
Geo-referencing the field map for the 2021 census
Digitized the geographic elements and Mauza map.

Project: Land Availability for the Solar Power in Bangladesh.
Key Responsibilities:
Classified Land Use and Land Cover (LULC) for 64 districts of Bangladesh using Google Earth Engine (GEE) through the supervised machine learning classification
Analyzed the spatial data using Spatial Analyst in ArcGIS
Created map layout and visualized spatial and non-spatial data
Managed and shared data throughout the Google Workspace.
Project: Environmental sustainability of Bangladesh's shrimp industry in the context of climate change
Key Responsibilities:
Visited the South-Western coastal area (Khulna, Bagerhat, and Satkhira) of Bangladesh to collect data by the household survey, and Focus Group Discussion (FGD).
Prepared the report for the PhD. research purposes.
