About

Greetings! I’m Juvair Hossan, a GIS and Remote Sensing Specialist with a background in Environmental Science and experience spanning research, environmental consulting, and development projects in Bangladesh. My work covers geospatial analysis, satellite image processing, spatial modelling, and environmental data analysis.

At EMEC and CEGIS, I've contributed to land cover mapping, flood risk assessment, DEM modelling, river migration analysis, geospatial database development, and large-scale spatial data extraction using ArcGIS, ArcGIS Pro, Google Earth Engine, and Global Mapper. This work has also involved field surveys, stakeholder engagement, FGDs/KIIs, environmental reporting, and training and capacity-building.

Alongside consulting, I'm active in GIS and Remote Sensing research, with interests in spatial ecology, climate change, urban heat, spatial epidemiology, and geospatial technologies for data-driven decision-making.

I'm particularly interested in roles where GIS, Remote Sensing, environmental science, and research intersect to solve real-world problems.
