Duties: Assisted with development and grading of assignments, exams, and projects. Coordinated and led two-day overnight field trip in coastal Virginia, taught field lessons about barrier islands, marshes, and dunes

Co-taught geology and oceanography at the introductory level

Duties: Collaborated with a classroom teacher to teach oceanography lessons to 50 students twice weekly; developed and adapted multiple lessons; graded assignments and evaluated student progress in relation to curriculum goals; used Blackboard Learning Management System

Guest Field Instructor, Virginia Institute of Marine Science Summer Field Course for Undergraduates

Co-taught a full day of the marine science field course

Duties: Led students in sediment coring in coastal marsh and barrier islands; taught sediment core analysis in field laboratory

Team taught a two-day field course with faculty from RMC and VIMS

Coastal Geomorphology Course (undergraduate level)

Duties: Two-day field trip instruction on coastal field geology including sediment coring and shallow geophysics (GPR); students learned to operate equipment and make interpretations
