Project Description:

For this project we were to pick a emerging technology and create a presentation explaining it.

Why I Chose The Snapchat AI or “MyAI”?

• I find the “MyAI” a bit creepy.

• “MyAI” knows things it shouldn’t know.

• It is a very knew feature.

• The topic is hot on tik tok right now.

Why is “MyAI” Important?

• The actual “MyAI” itself is not important at all and nobody is forced to use it.

• What may be important to some is that it knows things about us that it shouldn’t.

Will “MyAI” Affect Everyday Life?

• No, it will not affect your life.

• All it does is give you a “robot” to talk to

Advantages and Disadvantages

Advantages:

• Ask it anything and it will reply with something.

• “MyAI” is always free to talk to you.

Disadvantages:

• It claims to not track our locations, but it does.

• It claims to not have opinions, but many have found that it does.

• It goes in and out of the chat like a normal person would.

• It didn’t show up with an update.

Latest News and Advancements

• “MyAI” is very new and hasn’t had any serious advancements yet.

• According to snapchat, “MyAI” is completely safe. They have a list of things you shouldn’t mention to the AI which is interesting. We are also able to report chats that we receive from “MyAI”

• Many people have had their AI show opinions in regards to they’re favorite color, what their name truly is, their political opinions etc. 

• Not a single AI is the same, every single one generates different responses and appears differently.

Lessons Learned:

I learned that everyone who has snapchat now has their very own, unique personal AI. The MyAI is kind of suspicious, it seems to know thing it isn't supposed to and be able to do things it claims it can't.
