In the fall of 2018, I participated in an internship with Lojix Software LLC, a company based in Huntsville, AL. I was responsible for creating a Docker file to streamline deployment and installation of the Lojix app. Over the course of the internship, I gained experience with Docker, Linux, and GitHub, and learned the basics of PHP and MySQL. Working with other programmers required me to improve my communication and teamwork, and I also learned to prioritize work and manage my time effectively in order to meet deadlines.
In summer 2021, I interned at Dynetics, a contractor based in Huntsville, AL. At Dynetics, I supported the development of a GPU-accelerated tool for generating optical signatures by creating test trajectories and flow fields, which will be used as test cases and compared with the output of the accelerated tool.
In summer 2022, I returned to Dynetics and continued to contribute to the optical signatures tool. Among other duties, this involved implementing an unsteady transient thermal conduction model and validating its results as well as introducing quaternions as a replacement for other, less stable attitude representations.
