In the fall semester of 2019, I was a Student Supervisor with TAMU BUILD, a service organization that converts shipping containers into medical clinics and sends them around the world. As a Student Supervisor, I was responsible for teaching volunteers about safe use of power tools and delegated their tasks to meet weekly goals for construction.
I was a Sophomore Advisor with University Honors in my sophomore year, where I facilitated discussions among a small honors "family" of freshmen for a seminar class designed to help them adjust to college.
Through the fall semester of my Junior year, I was involved with the Materials team for BUILD, and was responsible for helping keep the site supplied with tools and building materials.
I was a member of the Electronics and Payload subteam of the Sounding Rocketry Team in my junior year, which involved working with the sensors and controls within the rocket to optimize its performance, as well as building robust and reliable ground systems.
In the upcoming year, I will be the Director of the Sounding Rocketry Team. In this role I will be coordinating the six subteams in order to accomplish our goal of designing, building, and testing a new rocket in time for our competition, which will take place in the following summer.
