This project is about how to detect all the cyber security attacks so you can protect your data. looking at the articles below can help us better understand 3 of the many cyber security attacks. The first article is a phishing attack that is going on with Amazon. The second article is a privacy scandal with Facebook. The last article is an identity theft attack on an Ohio couple.
The lessons learned in this project is that we should protect our data as much as we can so that these attacks won't happen to us. Another lesson learned is that we need to alert the others about the possibilities of these attacks so we can help them protect them themselves.
This article is an example of a phishing call scam by fake Amazon employees. The employee's are calling consumers claiming that there is something wrong with an order or they need information about their accounts because something is wrong. The people affected in this situation are the Amazon customers. Ways to protect ourselves is to hang up if asked for any sensitive information and report the incident.
This article is an example of privacy being violated by Facebook and Cambridge Analytica. The people affected were the 87 million people who had their Facebook Information sold to Cambridge Analytica. Facebook is also affected because they lost trust with their users. To prevent this from happening we need to watch what information we put on social media. A way to protect ourselves is to check to see if the social media site you are on has privacy settings and set them as preferred.

The people who were affected was the couple because they had financial trouble. A way to protect ourselves from identity theft is to know who you're dealing with.
