Ok, find the glitch. I have to remove the PYTHONPATH env variable as it points to c:\python27. Both the native jupyter notebook short cut from Pro and yours work fine. But your "Start in" works better for me. Thanks.

ArcHook doesn't look to support Pro currently. With Pro 2.1 and later, you should be able to directly use Jupyter Notebooks from the ArcGIS program group, as its included out of the box. Alternatively, you can start Python Command Prompt and then run "jupyter notebook".

Starting in Ubuntu 17.04 Jupyter Notebook can be installed directly from the default Ubuntu repositories (sudo apt install jupyter-notebook jupyter-core python-ipykernel in Ubuntu 17.04 and 17.10). python-ipykernel is necessary for running Python 2.x programs in Jupyter Notebook, which otherwise supports only Python 3.x.

Combination of Jupyter notebooks & evernote notes would be a best blogging feature for coders/programmers. I hope this can reduce the amount of time for jupyter notebook users once we have a component to transfer evernote notes into a markdown cells (with in jupyter notebook)

Inspired by that pain, we created a jupyter cell-level magic that caches the results of a Python function you're running and saves it in a local folder. Then, when you push your notebooks to GitHub, people can download the notebook, run all of the cells, and it should Just Work (TM) assuming they have the Python libraries installed.

Beyond that, if you want to do EDA on data or other simple data operations, either you have a formula, a workaround with formulas, or you are out of luck and you have to go to third party jupyter notebook providers such as google colab or deepnote.

For instance, I could start a project in Coda (using a two-way writeup template), retrieve data, work with this data using a jupyter notebook, and then either embed plotly graphics or copy + paste some tables to a coda table

I also find that jupyter code cells would be unobtrusive in Coda. For the vast majority of coda makers, it would be an arcane option too far from their needings and capabilities. But for a good number of analyst, it would save us time and would declutter our tasks.

The difference between Coda, Streamlit and datapane is that Coda is much, much more flexible, faster and more general than Streamlit or Datapane. With Datapane, e.g., I can generate reports with code and dynamic charts, or in fact you can generate reports with any derivative of jupyter notebook.

Kernel crash: If your kernel crashed and was restarted, you can run the following command to look at Jupyter log and find out more details: sudo journalctl -u jupyter. If kernel issues persist, consider using a compute instance with more memory.

This section is relevant regardless of the frontend you use to write QtCode. This section is mostly there as it is easy to get confused and assumethat writing Qt code in the QtConsole should change from usual Qt code. Itshould not. If you get confused, take a step back, and try writing yourcode using the pure terminal based jupyter console that does notinvolve Qt.

Use qtconsole.rich_jupyter_widget.RichJupyterWidget in yourQt application. This will embed the console widget in your GUI and start thekernel in a separate process, so code typed into the console cannot accessobjects in your application. See examples/embed_qtconsole.py for anexample.

You can try a relatively recent build of the quay.io/jupyter/base-notebook image on mybinder.orgby simply clicking the preceding link.Otherwise, the examples below may help you get started if you have Docker installed, know which Docker image you want to use, and want to launch a single Jupyter Application in a container.

This command pulls the jupyter/datascience-notebook image tagged 2023-11-17 from Quay.io if it is not already present on the local host.It then starts an ephemeral container running a Jupyter Server with the JupyterLab frontend and exposes the server on host port 10000.

JupyterLab is the default for all the Jupyter Docker Stacks images. It is still possible to switch back to Jupyter Notebook (or to launch a different startup command). You can achieve this by passing the environment variable DOCKER_STACKS_JUPYTER_CMD=notebook (or any other valid jupyter subcommand) at container startup;more information is available in the documentation.

An extension for the browser Jupyter frontend to manage Jupyter Widgets.Installing ipywidgets automatically installs extensions for JupyterLaband Jupyter Notebook (the jupyterlab-widgets and widgetsnbextensionpackages). The Jupyter Widgets project also maintains a plain HTML interfacefor embedding Jupyter Widgets on a webpage, and many other frontends supportJupyter Widgets.

You can use Google or search for Jupyter Notebook extensions. There are actually quite a few out there. One of the most popular extension sets is called jupyter_contrib_nbextensions, which you can get from GitHub. This is actually a collection of extensions that is provided by the Jupyter community and installed with pip.

ACCRE has recently deployed an instance of JupyterHub for hosting notebooks for researchers at VU and VUMC at jupyter.accre.vanderbilt.edu. It is available for all students, faculty and staff at Vanderbilt University, as well as VUMC employees and members of the Complex Muon Solenoid experiment (CMS). You do not need a traditional cluster account to use the Jupyter cluster.

Thanks.

I think the problem is that OOD still tries to authenticate me via DEX. So if I set a token authentication in jupyter (perhaps with an actual token, rather than a empty one I would like to go to an URL like

The Jupyter notebook provides a Python kernel to runSpark code, and aPySpark kernel. By default, notebooks aresaved in Cloud Storage in theDataproc staging bucket, which is specified by the user orauto-createdwhen the cluster is created. The location can be changed at cluster creation time via thedataproc:jupyter.notebook.gcs.dir cluster property.

I've been using the jupyter notebook through the workbench in Vertex AI and there hasn't been an issue for years. But yesterday I adjusted the boot disk and storage disk size and then it fails to load. It appears that I can run the notebook but it pops up an ever-loading blank page. I also migrated it from a 'user-managed notebook' to 'instances', and it is also stuck at loading. I attached the screenshots below. I wonder if anyone know what is happening?

If you prefer to use the command line instead of Anaconda Navigator, once you have Anaconda installed, you should be able to open a new Terminal window (Mac) or Command Prompt (Win) and run jupyter notebook to launch the web browser with the Jupyter Notebook application. If you are using the command line to launch Jupyter Notebook, pay attention to the directory you are in when you launch it. That folder becomes the home directory that will appear immediately in the Jupyter Notebook interface, as described below.

When you launch Jupyter Notebook from Anaconda Navigator, it automatically displays your home directory. This is usually the directory with your username on a Mac (/Users/your-user-name). On a PC it is usually C:\. If you launch Jupyter Notebook from the command line, it will display the contents of the folder you were in when you launched it. (Using the command line, you can also directly launch a specific notebook, e.g. jupyter notebook example.ipynb.)

The jupyter_contrib_nbextensions package contains a collection ofcommunity-contributed unofficial extensions that add functionality to theJupyter notebook. These extensions are mostly written in Javascript and will be loaded locallyin your browser. ff782bc1db
