Both of these Girl Scout Junior Journeys are adapted to fit a virtual format.
Each journey has 10 sessions, but only 8 chunks of work (or 8 assignments).
Each assignment consists of a video, a homework assignment, and additional links and activities on some sessions. All of these parts except for the extra activities are required to complete each journey.
Extra activities are to enhance your learning. They will be helpful to help you understand certain concepts that may be harder. They are recommended, especially if you are struggling, but not required. Should you choose to do them, they should be done after the videos and before the homework. They do not need to be submitted to your leader unless she says so.
Additional links to videos must be watched when prompted, then the scout should return to the main video.
All homework assignments are in the same pdf at the top of each page. One homework assignment, or one page, is required per assignment. The homework should be printed and completed after all videos and activities if you choose to do them are watched/completed. Once done with the homework, someone should take a picture of it and email it to the troop leader for corrections. Corrections must be made if necessary, then a new picture should be emailed back to the troop leader for more corrections, and so on.
Each assignment should take about 20-30 minutes, although some sessions may take longer as some concepts are harder than others.
aMUSE is the harder journey...but it's not impossible! You can get through it!
The hardest question is question 3 in aMUSE's session 2a. There is a checklist of what you need to include in your response...make sure to include all parts!
In aMUSE, session 10's video is very large, and will need to be downloaded. You will be prompted to download, download anyway, and then click on the download that appears on the bottom left of their screen in order to watch it. This process should work on all devices, but may only work on a computer.
Have fun!
