We have one postdoc position opening for individuals with backgrounds in robotics, computer vision, artificial intelligence, or biomedical engineering. The postdocs are expected to work on the following topics:

• Autonomous robot control:

  • Surgical robot -- autonomous surgery, surgical assistance (thread cutting), occlusion-free eye-in-hand tool tracking

  • Snake robot -- environment sensing using RGBD camera, local and global motion planning, and kinematic/dynamic locomotion control

• Artificial intelligence for RGB camera-based object tracking

• Human and object recognition and human pose estimation in the operating room
