Course Design via Canvas LMS
To support more effective and engaging learning, I integrate interactive learning activities using various multimedia tools.
Flipgrid can be used for class discussions to enchance social presence in an online class setting.
Hypothes.is can be used to engage students in course materials, allowing collaborative annotation. Diigo can also be used for class to share useful bookmarks.
Virtual bulletin boards (e.g., Padlet) can be used for individual students to host their portfolios showcasing what they have done in the class.
Video hosting tools (e.g., Kaltura) can be used to embed videos into a Canvas site. Its subtitle and script features can make videos more accessible, and it also allows for adding interactive features, such as quizzes, polls, and discussions, to the videos through the integration of Annoto.
Collaborative whiteboards (Google Jamboard, Miro) can be used to engage students in the class by allowing individual students to post their perspectives and opinions to the board.
Miro board can be used to promote students' cognitive engagement by allowing them to create an individual/collaborative concept map, identifying the relationships among course concepts.
Virtual poll tools (e.g., Mentimeter) can be used to gain students' perspectives on topics that students might feel vulnerable to share about in class, promoting student engagement.
Course Material Design
I create course materials in various formats using different design, editing, and authoring tools.
In this job-aid, I provide step-by-step guides on how to embed a Google Calendar in Weebly website builder.
These course slides address the myth of the "digital native" and cover the ISTE standards. Alt text has been added to the images to ensure accessibility.
In this video tutoral, I demonstrate how to create a Qualtrics survey from scratch in this video.
This webpage provides instructions on what Alt Text is and how to write effective Alt texts.

The Racial Composition of Florida State University’s Entering and Graduating Students: Comparisons with its Peer Institutions
Florida State University
Capstone project--EDF 5941 Institutional Research Practicum (Fall 2021)
This project examined racial equity gaps at FSU in college enrollment and degree completion. Based on the data collected from the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) and the U.S. Census Bureau, I identified disparities in the representation of Black or African American and Hispanic students at FSU compared to its peer institutions and provided recommendations to address these gaps.
