The Chinese Mothers Project emerged from my ongoing work with women’s stories and explores the experiences of Chinese mothers living in the UK, particularly those who moved here to support their children’s education.

Through practical English sessions, cultural activities, artist-led creative workshops and collaborations with organisations including Shangri-La The Shard, the project creates spaces for women to connect, share experiences and explore emotion, family and identity.

Alongside these activities, I document participants’ stories through interviews and moving image, bringing together listening, participation and documentary storytelling around migration, motherhood and belonging.
