  • [01 Oct 2025] I joined Tilburg University (Netherlands) as an Assistant Professor of Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence! 🎉

  • [20 Mar 2025] My co-authored paper, Multi-version Machine Learning and Rejuvenation for Resilient Perception in Safety-critical Systems, has been accepted for publication in the IEEE/IFIP Dependable Systems and Networks 2025 (DSN'25) conference.  The paper is a joint work with Qiang Wen and Prof. Fumio Machida from the University of Tsukuba, Japan.

  • [15 Jan 2025] My co-authored paper, Experimental Performance Analysis of Data Consistency Levels in NoSQL Databases, has been accepted for publication in the Journal of Software: Practice and Experience (Wiley). The paper is a collaboration with Saulo Ferreira (UFRPE) and Prof. Dr. Ermeson Andrade (UFRPE).

  • [26 - 29 Nov 2024] I attended the LADC'24 and SBESC'24 held in Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil. 

  • [21 Nov 2024] Prof Marcus Volp and I visited my old department, Centro de Informatica, at the Federal University of Pernambuco. Prof. Volp gave a talk about the research we conduct in CritiX on the topics of cybersecurity and cyber-resilience. 

  • [22 Oct 2024] My co-authored paper, Impacts of data consistency levels in cloud‑based NoSQL for data‑intensive Applications, has been accepted for publication in the Journal of Cloud Computing. The paper is a collaboration with Saulo Ferreira (UFRPE), Prof. Dr. Ermeson Andrade (UFRPE),  Prof. Dr. Bruno Nogueira (UFAL) and Prof. Dr. Willy Tiengo (UFAL). 

  • [01 - 05 Jul 2024] I visited Prof. Dan Dongseong Kim and his research group at the UQ Cyber, The University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia.

  • [28 - 30 Jun 2024] I attended the 86th IFIP WG 10.4 meeting held in Gold Coast, Australia.

  • [24-27 Jun 2024] I attended the 99th IEEE Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC-Spring 2024) held in Singapore.

  • [01 Jun 2024] My co-authored paper, entitled Enhancing Autonomous Vehicle Safety through N-version Machine Learning Systems, was accepted at the AISafety 2024 Workshop, which is part of the IJCAI'24 Conference! The paper is a joint work with Qiang Wen and Prof. Fumio Machida from the University of Tsukuba, Japan.

  • [07 May 2024] - I attended the SnT Partnership Day and had the chance to talk about our research on resilient autonomous driving. Partnership Day is a huge event organized by SnT (UniLu),  where researchers can meet industrial and academic partners to discuss critical research challenges and opportunities in different areas such as cybersecurity, AI, robotics, space systems, and more.

  • [04 April 2024] - The paper  "Confirmed-Location Group Membership for Intrusion-Resilient Cooperative Maneuvers" has been accepted to the 99th IEEE Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC-Spring) 2024! Check the pre-print version of the paper here!

  • [20 - 21 March 2024] - I attended the 1st Joint Workshop on Cyber-Resilient Real-Time Systems in Bernkastel-Kues, Germany.  During the workshop, members of CritiX (UniLu), the Chair of Embedded Systems (RPTU), and the Chair of Embedded Systems (Uni Augsburg) discussed future project collaborations. They participated in a training course on good public speaking practices. 

  • [07 - 08 March 2024] - I participated in the workshop between CritiX and the Chair of Embedded Systems (RPTU), held at the University of Kaiserslautern-Landau (RPTU), Germany, to discuss our collaboration project ReSAC, in which we investigate alternatives to time and event trigger mechanisms for modern real-time systems. 

  • [27 - 30 June 2023] - I attended the DSN 2023 conference in Porto, Portugal. I presented our accepted paper, Enhancing the Reliability of Perception Systems using N-version Programming and Rejuvenation, at the DSN Workshop - Dependable and Secure Machine Learning 2023. I also met my collaborators: Prof. Fumio Machida, Prof. Dan Dongseong Kim, and Qiang Wen.

  • [28 November 2022] - My paper entitled "Security Modeling and Analysis of Moving Target Defense in Software Defined Networks" has been accepted and presented at the 27th IEEE Pacific Rim International Symposium on Dependable Computing (PRDC 2022 - Virtual).  

  • [04 - 07 June 2022] Members of CritiX (UniLu), Navigators (FCUL), and RC3 (KAUST) attended a 3-Party International workshop on Cyber Resilient Systems at Cascais-Portugal.

  • [4 March 2022] - My co-authored paper entitled "An integrated security hardening optimization for dynamic networks using security and availability modeling with multi-objective algorithm"  has been accepted by the Computer Networks Journal (Elsevier). 

  • [10 February 2022] - My co-authored paper entitled "Consent To Shoot – Rethinking The Anti-Satellite Weapon Versus Space Debris Dilemma" has been accepted by the IAA 8th Annual Space Traffic Management Conference, 02-03 March, Austin, TX, USA. 

  • [24 July 2021] -  My paper entitled '' A Hierarchical Modeling Approach for Evaluating Availability of Dynamic Networks Considering Hardening Options'' has been accepted by the  IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics 17-20 October 2021, Melbourne, Australia.
