- Short Bio
I'm an Assistant Professor of Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence at Tilburg University. Prior to that, I worked as a Cybersecurity Research Associate (postdoctoral researcher) in the Critical and Extreme Security and Dependability (CritiX) research group, Interdisciplinary Center for Security, Reliability, and Trust (SnT) at the University of Luxembourg. Previously, I worked as a Lecturer in Information Systems at the Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology of Alagoas, Brazil.
I received a Ph.D. degree (2020) and an MSc degree (2015) in Computer Science from the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE), Brazil. During my Ph.D., I was also a visiting Ph.D. student in the Cybersecurity Lab at the University of Canterbury (UC), New Zealand, from Sep/2018 to Mar/2019.
My research focuses on designing and developing resilient network communication protocols and fault-tolerant cyber-physical systems, where I work on topics such as resilient autonomous driving and vehicular networks, secure software-defined networks, fault-tolerant Cloud and Edge computing, AI-based Intrusion Detection for IoT, and reliable ML-based systems.
