Middle School Mathematics
I have a strong passion for Mathematics at the secondary level. I strive to bring higher mathematics into the middle school classroom through extension projects and collaborative discussion. By providing students a chance to engage in higher mathematics, they are able to get a more complete view of the subject.
Community
Gxrls in STEM is a magazine written and managed by high school gxrls (girls and non-binary students). The magazine was founded by Avani Ahuja (Georgetown Day School '22) and Layla Dawit (Sidwell Friends '22) as a way to encourage Gxrls to enter STEM fields. Living Arts and Science Center
LASC is a non-profit organization based in Lexington, KY. The mission of LASC is to provide "hands-on and interactive instruction in arts and science directly from professional educators and active artists and scientists. Activities include collaborative experiences for the community, educational programs in schools, community centers, and other venues as well as free programming for all members of the Central Kentucky community. Nerd Squad is a Lexington, KY based non-profit organization with the mission of "inspiring young minds" within the STEM fields by presenting "interactive STEM related activities that make kids think and ask questions." I invite you to learn more about this organization at The Connectory
Central Kentucky Math Circle
Math Circle is a program run through the University of Kentucky Math Department. It serves pre-college students and provides "stimulating and engaging mathematical enrichment." Expanding Your Horizons
