About Julie Markese

Get to know Julie Markese

Julie Markese got into coaching because she wanted a better way to help others succeed. Coaching provides a different lens from which to see the deeper potential in people. She loves to partner with her clients to find focus, build capacity from strengths, and generate energy for the changes that will propel them toward their goals. She specializes in leadership and team coaching and collaborative processes. Julie has lived all over the world, and believes coaching is a great way to appreciate, accept, and learn from others.

An ordained minister, and a 13-year AGWM veteran missionary, Julie has developed a coach-based one-year guide to help congregations work through a process of self-awareness, evaluation, and strategic planning. In addition to her leadership role in her denomination, she has coached Not-for-Profit CEOs and leaders in transition. She holds a Masters in Organizational Leadership, PCC certification from the International Coach Federation, and is a Certified Leadership Coach with Coach Approach Ministries, for whom she also trains.

Widowed since 1999, Julie understands the challenges of “starting over” later in life. The two greatest lessons she has learned in discovering her true purpose is the power of hope and the courage to never give up.
