In this project, our goal was to design, create, and test a video game or board game. We decided to make a choose-your-own-adventure video game because of the interactive aspect and the possibility for multiple endings.
In the game, TRAPPED, you have been kidnapped and must make decisions in order to investigate and find clues to escape the house. Making the game live action was the hardest part because we filmed all the different story lines, but it really payed off in the end because it made the game scarier and more immersive.
One of the requirements of the game was that it had to incorporate a historical aspect. We decided to base the story line of our game one the ancient Roman history of Agrippina and Claudius, in which, the emperor, Claudius, was poisoned by his wife, Agrippina, in order for her son to gain power. In the game, the player must make the right decisions to avoid being poisoned, or another fate.

Presentation night was a convention setup at the Academy called "Acadacon". We decorated our booth in the theme of our game and had computers available for people to play. I even designed and screen printed shirts for my group. When parents and teachers played our game, they loved how immersive it was, and they really got into the story. Afterwards, we were awarded "Facilitator's Choice" for the game.
