Series of three scientific meetings that consisted in seminars and poster presentations of student research projects. The events focused on initiatives directed to the preservation of the Atlantic forest.
Poster presentation on the feather imping procedure performed on a roadside hawk at PARNASO (to be also presented at the NWRA Symposium 2019, see item above).
Was responsible for leading the team of volunteers in activities such as the pre-conference organization, administration of the social media pages, and setup and management of the events. Served as a contact for inquiries.

Conservation Medicine - One Health - Wildlife Diseases Student Workshop at the University of Georgia. (November 2 - 4, 2018).
Series of seminars and discussions on wildlife health and research. A wet lab component ended the workshop. I participated in the Field Capture Methods lab, which introduced the students to techniques such as setting up traps, VHF telemetry, and mist nets. For more information, please click here.
Parque Nacional da Serra dos Órgãos occasionally offers workshops in various subjects within wildlife ecology. All courses include a lecture and a practical component. I attended the following:
Ecotourism: basics on how to work as a tourist guide in natural areas (2019).
Camera-trap: how to use and applications on research (2017).
Falconry: application of the practice in rehabilitation of birds of prey (2017).
Snake handling: insights on capturing snakes and house protection against snakes (2016).
