Julia Andersson is a creative and solutions-focused professional who brings a unique blend of IT support expertise, customer service leadership, and media technology innovation to every environment she works in. She brings very unique and creative blend of skills from different parts of the creative industry, she thrives with challenges and new skills to learn - which shows in the results on her ongoing double 1 year and 2 years Master's studies and her hobby projects in Unreal Engine.
During the spring of 2026, she completed a one‑year Master’s thesis course in Information Systems with a specialization in Game Development at Karlstad University. Her thesis, which examined how immersive virtual reality (IVR) can be implemented in Swedish education to support students with special educational needs and high absenteeism, was awarded Pass with Distinction. The thesis was finalized in early June 2026 and presented at the dissertation seminar at Karlstad University on 10 June 2026.
Since September 2025, Julia has been pursuing a two‑year Master’s degree in Game Development at Skövde University. Examples of her work during these studies can be found on her project subpage. She has also received strong recommendation letters from earlier projects, including the board game The Swedish Outbreak, which earned an “A” grade, followed by another “A” in her course assessment, demonstrating her ability and knowledge in game design.
As part of a Serious Games group project, Julia served as project leader, guiding the team in developing and managing Project Lighthouse for a client in the shipping industry. The collaboration resulted in a prototype that met the client’s expectations and was well-received.
