Price Quotation. McLaughlin Art will provide the Client with a written quotation for the requested artwork. This quote includes the cost of materials and cost of hours worked.
Acceptance of the Commission. By signing the quotation and returning it to McLaughlin Art the Client accepts the commission as outlined in the quotation and agrees to these terms and conditions.
Booking Fee. A non-refundable booking fee of 25% of the total quoted price. The booking fee will be invoiced to the Client prior to work starting and will be deducted from the final payment.
Client photograph. The Client must provide a good-quality, clear photograph and must be a true representation of the subject. McLaughlin Art reserves the right to reject any photograph that does not meet the necessary quality standard, please see photograph guide for further information. McLaughlin Art is aware that if it is a memorial piece then photographs may be limited and will work with a poorer quality if at all possible.
Copyright. McLaughlin Art retains the copyright to the commissioned artwork from the Client's photograph and will only use them for marketing and publicity and not for sale unless agreed by the client.
Sharing on Social Media/Publicity. McLaughlin Art reserves the right to share on Social Media. The commission will not be shared until it has been completed and received by the Client. If you do not want your artwork shared then please contact me to discuss.
Time scale for portrait. The completion time for a commission varies and is dependent on current workload, the complexity of the artwork and size. An estimated completion date will be provided at the time of the order. However, this is an estimate and not a guarantee. McLaughlin Art will communicate regularly with the Client to keep them updated.
Balance payment. The balance of the payment is due before the commission is shipped. A final invoice will be sent to the Client's email address.
Termination of commission request. The Client may terminate the commission request within 7 days of the initial booking fee payment. In such cases, the booking fee will be refunded. After this time the booking fee becomes non-refundable. If the commission is cancelled by McLaughlin Art due to unforeseen circumstances, the booking fee will be fully refunded to the Client.
