I have been motivated and inspired by my dearest mother, mentors, and professors to become the ally and voice for every student. To me, everyone should be embraced in the STEM field regardless of their social identities. More generally, no one should be discouraged to pursue their career goals because of their social identities. To address this, I have been passionate about promoting diversity and inclusion in my everyday community as a resident advisor (RA), the student ambassador of the Office of Minority Student Affairs (OMSA), and an active volunteer at the Association of Women in Math (AWM).
With deep gratitude, I have been awarded multiple recognitions for my advocacy work.
